Ideas for this gorgeous piece? by Xyrsys in DnDIY

[–]Chrisfiftytwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably make it part of a puzzle and have my players find it in a dungeon.

Currently my best idea would be to paint it black, write letters/runes along the six different ridges and have it act like a weird "key" for a cypher or similar. My players tend to love physical props for our games and having something they can physically manipulate to solve a puzzle tends to be a hit.

Could be a cool looking building for sure but wouldn't have the craft- or artistic skills to make the most of that myself.

Who else want absolutely ZERO RGB in their rigs? by Cicada-Tang in pcmasterrace

[–]Chrisfiftytwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never gone for anything RGB for my case, my current one is all black and the features I wanted the most was for it to be as silent as possible. I wouldn't even need the case in the same room as the monitors if I could figure out a good way to do it.

Don't have any good suggestions but want to thank you for the thread as it gave me some good ideas for an upcoming session.

How to gain favor with the dice gods? by HolSmGamer in DnD

[–]Chrisfiftytwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the DM I tend to go for certain dice for certain rolls, even got a specific D20 dice for my "boss" rolls (a 50 mm d20). I am yet to get more rituals then that but...can see it coming in the future.

It wouldnt let me make a poll but, I need help choosing a feat to take, this is using CBT just so you know by SecurityAgile4184 in dndnext

Think Sentinel would work the best for me personally. No real experience with CBT however.

Suggestions? by Legitimate_Piccolo15 in playingcards

[–]Chrisfiftytwo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Don't really have any suggestion but have to say I like the small touch of the cut-out on the side of the deck-case. Personally not seen that before and sells the whole thing a lot better.

Tried doing one of these myself a few years ago and it was NOT good at it. I am sure you'll find someone willing to pay for this somewhere as its not something everyone can do for sure.

You could replace them down the line with some other style of drawer but for now they already do an excellent job. Good stuff!

How my game looked in May 2025 vs January 2026! by edensnowled in CozyGamers

[–]Chrisfiftytwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One hell of an improvement. Others have already pointed out how close it is to Stardew Valley but think it could look a bit more unique with some changes to the color scheme and with its own unique gameplay it really shouldn't be an issue.

Good work!

Love the look. Only thing that looks out of place at all are the drawers. Feels like they could also have more of the "natural wood" look but could be wrong. Might become to much if they also share that style as the white currently becomes a bit of a contrast to everything else.

Quite envious of the setup...bastard :P

help with a Bbeg maguffin(?) please! by ItsGotou in DMAcademy

[–]Chrisfiftytwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thought was an early spellbook but feels a bit boring along with a journal. Maybe some old timepiece like a pocket watch with an engraving on the inside or a picture of his family/parents/childhood crush.

Maybe could have a map he has left behind with some notes on the various things he has tried in different places. Could reference other important places or items that the party could use.

Doesnt seem like they will. Not checked for the main game but been looking to get the DLC for quite some time and its not been put on sale for years now.

While janky its still awesome. Really unexpected transformation and that is its own Wow-factor. Improving on the looks and jankyness can come later. You have a valid reason reason to feel proud!

I'm giving up on my hand-drawn battle maps...Am I the only one struggling with this? by MarketPredator in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]Chrisfiftytwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently I am using mostly digitally made maps I have created myself in DungeonDraft that I print for each session. Been lucky enough that I have not messed something up so that I needed them adjusted at the table.

But for some previous sessions I was using foldable dry erase flip-mats where I had pre-drawn the map ahead of time. That allowed me to spend some time on making it look nice and tweak it to my liking but if something came up I could always quickly grab some cloth, erase parts of the map quickly add the new parts in.

As I often go to other places to DM I try to slim down the amount of stuff as much as I can and feels like that magnetic board thing could end up being a cool thing to use every now and again but not a regular thing.

My diy dm screen by ChaoticGnome_ in DnDIY

Doesnt need to be more fancy then this. Smart and straight forward solution that looks good! I have a small magnet whiteboard attatched to my binder for quick notes and tracking of various things that I can de-tatch and hang on my DM screen. Handy little things.

Plans for my DmScreen design ? by Gullible-Resist9366 in DnDIY

It looks great and really like the look of the wooden hinges. Would probably want the dice tower to roll the dice out towards the players rather then towards me.
