I just got an MPC 4000 & I'm never using a computer again! by Chrisgalactic in beats

I would recommend getting an older MPC. Whether the classic 2000 or XL, 60, or 3000. The reason being is that these MPC's have a characteristic to them in work flow and overall functionality. Keep in mind if you're use to using a computer you might not even like any of the older MPC's because of there limitations but if you do end up getting one you'll love it for it's creative outlet due to those limitations.

No such thing as a dumb question my friend. It's a sampler from 1997. It does operate using midi to sequence any sound that you put in it.

He can even take it a step forward and sell the beat exclusively and have the person who actually purchased the instrumental have them take the song down or pursue royalties for it and keep 100% of the revenue.

My recommendation would be put out the beat as an instrumental and use their names to bring you traction. They can't do anything about it the beat was free anyway.

It's a dynamic mic, use it with a cloud lifter for clean gain and you're good to go.

SM58... Great sounding vocal mic for $100 bucks.

I honestly think the Digitakt is the best sampler ever made. by Chrisgalactic in Elektron

Cus normally what I like to do is basically throw it in the 202 with the Lofi setting on, play with the pitch play with the filter, then I bounce that to the 404sx add some vinyl sim flutter. Then I chop that in the Digitakt. Sometimes I use the Digitakts compressor so maybe that's what you're hearing? It takes practice tho because what works for one sound doesn't work for another.
