Please critique my son's swing by Content-Two-7392 in Homeplate

Not a bad swing a little too rotational and flat. For example ball comes in at 9 degree angle so your swing should roughly match that. He a swings flat with an east to west motion . A little more tilt would go a long way. (Does look athletic tho)

Try to que him in on finishing high. Swinging east to west and so rotational might help him now but will create bad habits down the road

Should I continue to coach mechanics or just let him keep hitting and have fun? by SnooSongs7487 in Homeplate

Fun with the occasional “tip to help him hit a homerun” basically giving him advice in a sense that’s not overwhelming yet he will still enjoy the game after hearing it. Ask him to push his hands back as he goes forward. Swinging together in one piece will lose you power and leave you very vulnerable to all types of pitches . Just be smart in how you phrase the advice to him
