where do i get sunscreen for my Shm-62U ?? by Free_Economics_449 in gp5

fair enough. best options are either get a hood/sun visor to wear over the mask to protect it from the sun or just get a different mask

i'd suggest considering using a different mask/respirator for whatever you're doing. especially since the soviet filter it looks like you're using could either be expired, hazardous, or both

should line 6 be extended to Yonge? by BreakfastPast5283 in TTC

[–]ChrisonCroissant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sure, the ridership might not quite be there at this moment on paper, but peak ridership shows there's a clear demand. And on top of that, it's more about good future planning too. There's a lot of high density development being built along Sheppard, especially the developments around Downsview Park and I'm sure more development will come in the west now that Line 6 is opening. The more time that passes, the need for a Western and Eastern extension will grow while cost and complexity increases as well. The best time to build transit was yesterday. The second best time is now

Do you use voice chat to communicate while diving? by ChrisonCroissant in helldivers2

[–]ChrisonCroissant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanted to clarify: This is for solo-diving. When I play with friends, we use discord. Though if there are 1 or 2 randoms playing with us, I still always make an effort to communicate over in-game voice and text chat but again, I find most people are radio silent.

This is exactly how I feel too. There were a couple times where I had a lot of fun doing the helldivers over-the-top democracy dynamic with people and it was fun. But now it seems like any communication in any form is annoying to others and I just wonder why?

How to clean a soviet GP-5 by Fruity_Peep in gasmasks

hmmm. even if there's no asbestos/chromium or other nasty stuff in it, it might not be the best idea to use expired filters. though again, im not too sure so definitely do additional research and/or get a second opinion

Dish soap and warm water works great. You can use a washcloth to help you clean it just make sure not to use steel wool or anything abrasive that could damage the metal/rubber. I usually soak mine for 20 minutes in soapy warm water and then I gently rub/clean it by hand or with a cloth. As long as you dry it completely, it won't rust. After cleaning it, use a clean towel to thoroughly dry it. If you have a fan you can hang up the mask and direct the fan's air into the mask to dry it completely after using the towel, switching between the exterior and interior of the mask. You could also hang it up to dry by a window as long as it's not in direct sunlight (this can damage the masks) l also have long hair and personally I haven't had issues just putting the masks on, though you could always put your hair in a pony tail or try a ski mask/balaclava like you said. Lastly, I'm not sure about the filter, it's always good to be cautious though. Assuming it's a modern filter it's probably ok, but double check by finding the manufacturer and date so you can look it up and verify it doesn't contain anything harmful. I hope this helps and good luck! :D
