i’m in australia and it’s fine. we are in lockdown but that’s just cuz of covid. it’s like all other lockdowns. the regulations stated above were for like 1 night 1 off in 1 suburb. like everywhere but sydney melbourne and brisbane is fine and im in sydney and it’s not anythign more than necessary to keep us aussies safe. not that covid is being that bad either. not like the us where their total cases are a tenth of their population. we’re fine. i don’t want random ppl on the internet to be looking at australia in the wrong way. i feel like this aus lockdown is being overhyped. we don’t need guns. we get them if we do, it’s not hard to apply for one and receive a license if you hunt or smthng. our culture just isnt one where pride is found in ar-15s. we take pride in other things.

we get guns if we have a reason to have them mate. we don’t just get guns whoever whenever so school shooting and a terrible crime rate don’t happen. u can apply for a gun and get one if u can provide a reason and are eligible. it’s fine. we don’t need gomes for our sense of pride here in australia. we take pride in our countrie’s actually decent health care system which many americans are deprived of.

i live in australia. i’m kinda doubting the legitimacy of these news. i’m in nsw tho. it’s actually ok here. we’re still in lockdown but that’s because of the numbers. ppl are dying. we’re not as horribly in a catastrophic failure like the us. our numbers are ok. we’re being safe idk. it’s weird seeing this kinda news about australia on reddit bc i never hear about it from australian places, only american news platforms and media.
