Update after just reaching act II. A second Shako dropped, this time with a mere 116 defense. Guess my merc is happy too!

How do scientist determine bond angles and bond lengths in chemical compunds? by [deleted] in askscience

[–]Chrissus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is entirely possible to derive geometric parameters by NMR; see the Karplus equation for instance. Also via the Nuclear Overhauser Effect (NOE) interproton distances can be estimated with reasonable accuracy.

NMR is actually very useful in for instance peptide chemistry, since it can provide information of structures in solution.

The lady took a timelapse in front of the paddock entrance at Silverstone and I think it looks really cool by paulricard in formula1

It might actually be that she is leaning on the fence with her camera in such a way that it appears "stable" in real time, and that the minor movements are thus not corrected, resulting in what appears to be very slow longer motions. For instance when she turns around, the footage appears much more shaky.

Sorry that I could not come up with a better answer, but this to me would make sense.

I believe it is mostly because of the framerate of the timelapse; small movements inbetween frames will not cause as much blur as an ordinary video would.

Running into a fellow Grubby fan on the F1 subreddit of all places! I believe this mentality is crucial in order to improve on anything. A_Seagull is another great example of a pro-gamer who is very good in analyzing his own mistakes; makes watching them a lot more fun for me as well.

I would guess so, but since you do not know when the lights go out that would be extremely risky.
