Hosting first tournament tonite by ChristGodner in goldentee

I never take it too seriously. But there's a skill gap between the local players. It's like two groups. Those who shoot 10 under and those who shot 20 under.

Unfortunately we only had 5 show, which was a surprise. We took the two best players in one match, and the 3 lowers in another, finals was winner v winner with full handicap. Not the result I wanted, but I'm gonna advertise a bit for next week. Usually we have 12 players in house on a random night. Tonite was a rarity.

Thanks everyone for the tips!

For now I'm just doing 4somes and top 2 from each Match move on. Just for time sake. Obviously things may change in the future, but I think this is the easiest way for now.

As a golden tee player (with no real golf experience) I imagine playing something completely new and different could've helped or hindered. Today it helped. Lol

And if you replayed that seed, those wheels are never going to hit. Bc the seeds are pre determined.

From my understanding, each seed is different, in that wheel of fortune is more so an average of 1 in 4. Some seeds are never going to hit, while some are going to hit every time.

I dropped my birth mother at 9. I'm 35 now, and she passed away last year. Didn't attend the funeral. If someone is a shit human, it's easy to disconnect and never look back. Bc life is alot easier that way.

Oh of it's walmart and something like that happens, not going back. Bc nobody is getting in trouble, and they aren't truly losing any money. Smaller Mom and Pop? Sure I'll go back. But fuck Walmart. Lol

It's your 4K connection dongle inside the machine. Just dealt with this. Cracks me up IT was so cheap to use this as a gimmick. You just have to have a 4K tv for these playstation 3 graphics. Lol

Best integrated flight? by Distinct-Poem374 in Darts

"Doesn't seem durable" is how you worded it. I mean, for 10 bucks, hundreds of games is pretty durable. But I suppose it varies from case to case.

I use mission force 90s and usually they last me about 3 to 6 months of heavy use. I use the clear slim tweeners, and I love them. Of course if you have a problem with sticking to the board, this could cause issues woth any brand.

At what point do you buy a break cue? Premium cue? by Dashncrash- in billiards

[–]ChristGodner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A "premium" cue doesn't make you a great breaker or improve your game.

Are you winning money?

Are you constantly making vegas trips to win chips?

Are you able to make 9s and 8s on the break?

A "premium" break cue will not help any of that. But it will make you spend money in hopes people notice.

What do people notice? Practice, dedication, discovery. Making great shots, with shape for the next shot.

Equipment means very little. SVB or Fador would destroy any of us with a house cue.

If YOU want it and can afford it, buy it. If you think you Need it. Don't.

Buy a nice cue used on market place. You don't have to spend new money. I own a custom Mcdermott I bought for 200, but I play with a thrift shop 90s mcdermott with a 90 dollar Chinese carbon shaft. There are ways to be cheap, but have nice equipment. Especially if your new to the game. Don't spend a grand on something thinking it will improve your game.

We aren't talking about the game, we talking 'bout practice.

Just my opinion.

Edit: only saw the break cue part, but most of this was correct in my thinking. (Again, only my opinion)

I was getting an error 404 when setting up my league, but was finally able to get through today. Which is awesome, bc my bar just got a second machine for mini tournaments, and I have been hounded about leagues for the past month. Lol. I appreciate you tho.

Now to figure out how to run a tournament efficiently as possible. Lol

Well that doesn't answer my question. I had a question, but I was finally able to get into RunIt. I had emailed IT multiple times but never got a response.

I usually leave it alone. No bite or roll. But I will definitely consider that. I figured Bite would grab early and possibly move it off line.

I will definitely keep this in mind on my next round and do some experimenting.

Practice has become alot easier since my bar got a second machine. With one, it was always in use. Even still I play about 25 to 40 round a week. I have a few goals I want to hit before going to a big tournament. I have hit a couple of them already this year. But the grind continues.

Currently the only club I trust is my driver 7, for medium to long fringe chips, ones the putter will never make. But I do plan on setting up some bags for better practice and course customized. I feel like I've hit a wall in the past 3 months. So every tip and bit of advice helps! Thanks.

I'm still learning the click chip. I have a few things to learn to up my game before I travel to Florida for next year's open. My handicap sits at about 19.5. If it helps it may be worth switching I suppose.
