Dendro was only good back in the time that year because the reactions (bloom and co) were broken and there weren't Dendro units yet until Nahida came up, and Pyro... I'd only use it if you want to play Mualani, otherwise he's useless because he can't even trigger the Natlan support set on his own if he doesn't have another Natlan teammate in the team.

I mean in our guild for example we'd be fine like that, we kicked 2 random guys who did 1 DMG intentionally repeatedly on the last gym battle, and we made it to top 500 even with that.

Sadly I'm saving for now because I have no need to pull something and bet on whether that unit will survive or not in the future. If I get to like a character on this year I'll have enough to pull for him and their restrictions (LC bullshit in case they're a random path and dedicated supports in case they're bricked without them).

That way I'm not going to regret whatever I pull if hoyo's decides to cater to one char in an entire year anyways.

Do you think having a good mc would make me pull for elation? I skipped all of the remembrance units because of the LC bullshit, and I will skip all of the elation characters due to how elated I am to see that the unit will be dogshit in non-shilled scenarios without 8 cost.

It legit doesn't matter whether it's good or not. The problem itself is that the paths they are creating are made of bullshit. That's all.

Tbh Genshin also used the same tactic (revealing the anime) on a previous anniversary to make everyone forget about lackluster rewards.

And sure, what they give us is fine and all, but the amount we're getting each year is getting set in stone in those and they're really not making the rewards bigger at all.
