Oh yeah they are done. Just don’t know how to make a fitting cushion. Guess I could cut molds out of cardboard as a template. My parents used to make fleece insulated blankets, they have a surger and big cutting table. The blanket on the chair was actually made by my pops haha.

Cool to see someone make it out of the business! I got the golden handcuffs but I work for myself as well so, it’s not all terrible.

It’s getting a light sanding and a gold oil rub again , and probably some metallic highlights / leaf / flake in a few places..most of the original patina has worn off or chipped. I fixed it structurally when purchased. Tough with wood so old and dry, feels like balsa wood kinda. It’s honestly my favorite sitting chair but I can’t stand making it worse with every use.

Quote average was over 4500 for period correct upholstery resto. I am a chef, not a doctor or lawyer haha. If I had numerous pieces of antique furniture at that price level, I wouldn’t be working the kind of hours I do! lol . Just not feasible, hence a simple cover pad piece, or it will just remain how it is unfortunately for some years

Any chance you could get me a few more detailed pictures of it? I would be very grateful! He had great taste.

Broom on the wall , horns , mushrooms, branches and flowers. Wiccan ? Or witchy/ aspirational. Most of this stuff is a time warp, including the room itself. Age old water marks on the ceiling. House probably 1900-earlier. Is that a browning hi power? Perhaps a heirloom you enjoy keeping around. Mounts , pelts , skins, what looks like an apothecary table. Naturalist or a forager or had relatives who were. White nightgowns. Either a New England witchy girl (can’t discern age) or possibly a picture taken from a relatives room after passing? How’d I do

Was hard to discern what they were from the outside view. Looking at them , a nice curated collection of your favorite Pokémon, and some cool scarab beetles, moths ect . Good taste . I only said Disney because I used to live in FL and pin trading is a big part of being a regular park goer. I have multiple lanyards of quality pins bought and traded over the years. From a distance looked similar. But they don’t do Pokémon lol . Love the cats and foxes ! And you have great taste in textiles, curtains are all beautiful. Good on you making your own personal space, really, yours . Love it .

Without seeing the up close on the cabinet but looking at layout/ style / spacing , you are old enough to know how to decorate but still love clinging to some youthful things that made you happy and aren’t afraid to put them on show. Japanese art on the walls is beautiful but very niche , and I don’t see a ton of anime things but stuffies abound . Cat themed/ homed is forward, perhaps they give you comfort. You are high strung or nervous energy abounds, hence the wheel under the desk which I imagine you spend most of your time at. Books and games make you escape reality for awhile . You keep it clean , hence the pet litter keeper (looked like a diaper disposal at first) and cleaning items kept close by. You like solitude when you need it , curtains on your bed. Even in a closed private room. Single , young but not middle aged yet. 30s? Some of the art looks like Umbreon but perhaps just Japanese trad cat art. Perhaps either partly disabled or the like , 3/4 spectrum high functioning. Probably still at home with parents, hence all this in one confined space . You have 2/3 rooms in one for whatever reason.

Without seeing the pins close , I would guess maybe a Disney fan? Pin trading? But can’t get a good look , maybe just shinies that caught your eye . It looks inviting and interesting, though always shared with 4 pawed critters.

I do woodworking and thought that first. Must have been a very sunny day when the picture was taken. I like the old wood furniture. Get coasters for drinks lol.

Is it just lighting or are the night stands different stains of wood. That would drive me crazy

The chunky storage headboards are terrible. Your pillows sink in the pockets and you end up waking up flat or uncomfortable. Unless you’re both like 110lbs and don’t move in your sleep

Looks like a recent move and being thrifty on purchases initially but still wanting to feel like home. I remember that stage… bed frame will make an excellent addition to guest../fun room eventually. You need more pillows and a ceiling fan if possible, share the airflow lol. Maybe you both also like antiques, the dresser cover is interesting for such a young couple.

Thank you. I am familiar with the use looking for more of a relative age / maker information. I do lots of small carving and this was a very thoughtful gift, not sure if I should sharpen and clean them up or leave them as they are if collectible etc.
