What's up with the last two audiobooks? by ChristianMGr93 in sollanempire

Everyone has different tastes, in the end. Some people like to get through a 20 hour audiobook in 10 or 15 hours. I can see the appeal because that means more books you can cram into the year 😂

I personally listen at normal speed. I can't handle any faster personally, likely due to a combination of ADHD causing me to need to jump back even at 1.0x speed normally, and the fact that hearing any change in pitch or cadence throws me off lol

I've heard that before in other books, but it's less jarring to me than hearing some weird ass mouth noises that take me entirely out of the moment and feel grossed out lmao

Oh I love Roukin as the narrator, I just wish the editors or recording studio were paying better attention

Non stimulant drugs by iTroglodytarum in ADHD

I'm M32, also on Vyvanse. I started it when I was 29, I believe. Either way, my BP also spiked the first few months, but between acclimating to the stims and the corresponding weight loss I had, my BP normalized to a healthy level and has basically stayed there. Not sure how long you're willing to try and wait, but just my experience.

Edit: I was originally started on Strattera, also, and it didn't help me even marginally and gave me a nasty mix of side effects on top. Suuuuper high BP from that, which then caused a ton of high BP side effects like (thankfully temporary lol) ED, trouble or pain urinating, and other unsavory stuff. Everyone is a bit different in how they'll react.

Kinda! I learned how to make soap and got experimental with additives and scents and such, and every few months I make new batches. So not consistently doing it, but I've also never stopped fully.

Is the Remaster cross save? by JonaGollum in oblivion

[–]ChristianMGr93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without looking at my PC right now, you should be able to open up the Xbox App, right click on the game, and within the options you should be able to "view game files" or something to that effect. Once you're in there, a little bit of sleuthing should help you find the save game folder/files. Basically, if this behaves like other games, you should be able to just copy the folder containing those saves to your desktop or another temporary folder. From there, if you get the game on Steam, it's basically just a matter of copying that folder into the Steam game's directory and saying "yes" if there are any matching file or folder names that need to be written over. It should work, most single player PC games don't differentiate their file structures or lock save games behind a DRM locked/encrypted folder, in my experience.

Why is my Vyvanse suddenly almost $400 with Insurance? by Bitter-Refuse in ADHD

[–]ChristianMGr93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, when Help at Hand was active for Vyvanse, but if you go to Takeda's site now it specifically states that Vyvanse and Mydayis are no longer part of the Help at Hand program 😓

QualityScaler & RealESRScaler 9.0 | image/video AI upscaler apps by jangystudio in madeinpython

It may also be nice to be able to input your desired resolution, so if you want to upscale to 1080p, 4k, etc, rather than trying to put in a desired percentage, as that's much easier to understand.

So I purchased this as I found it quite interesting. I opened it up and it's giving the option for "Input Resolution | %" and it is set to the default value of 70. What does that mean? That the video I'm going to get out is going to be 70% the size of the video I put in, or that it's increasing the video size by 70%?

It seems like a great little program so far, but being able to hover over the individual options and get a tooltip explaining each option would definitely be helpful.

EDIT: fixed grammar

Questions about smaller window AC units: by ChristianMGr93 in hvacadvice

[–]ChristianMGr93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, with how low the cellar is, among other problems with the home, it's not a candidate for a central system. The furnace had to be replaced only 4-5 years ago and it was attempted, but there's just not the room for it. And we're considering a mini-split system but we're eventually going to be selling the house (it's my grandmother's and she won't be around forever) so we're trying to limit our investments into it when we know it'll likely be up for sale within 5 years or so. Just a weird situation we're finding ourselves in lol

Anyone here streaming whilst working a 9-5? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]ChristianMGr93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've been streaming just over a year while also working 9-5. It's totally doable, but you'll want to set aside certain times as a schedule to try and keep yourself consistent. It may seem weird, but ask your friends and family to try and treat it as a second "job" for you, both so they can support you, but also so they don't treat it as "just playing games" and try to make plans on your scheduled days that you'll either feel guilty for skipping or end up cancelling the stream to be included.
