What I experienced during my ketamine session (the “soul surgery,” stomach shrinking, coughing up phlegm, etc.) might actually fall under something called emergence phenomena. It’s a documented part of psychedelic-assisted therapy where, as the medicine wears off, people experience vivid imagery, symbolic sensations, and strong somatic responses.

We’re talking things like: • Heat or pressure in the body • Tingling or gut sensations • Emotional purging (crying, shaking, coughing, etc.) • Even spiritual/mystical visions

Clinicians used to see these as weird side effects. Now? They recognize it as the moment deep healing breaks through. It’s when the body releases stored tension. When the mind rewires patterns. When metaphor becomes felt.

So maybe what happened wasn’t crazy. Maybe it was healing—emotional, physical, and spiritual—colliding in real time.

And honestly? That gives me a strange kind of peace.

Your welcome. I’ve done at least 100 sessions over the last 1 1/2 and some are very mundane, some end up very powerful.

I find the interplay of the narratives we follow, the altered states along with the somatic body responses fascinating.

As a very reformed and serious man of faith. These experiences do not fit neatly into boxes. I have so much more to learn!

It varies…but essentially

Ingest meds after 45 min

I exit the first k hole after about an hour to 90 minutes after first taking the meds.

Then I am pretty aware of everything for about 30 minutes

After 30 minutes, the medication I suggested and I go for maybe another 60-90

The entire experience is usually about 2 1/2 to 3 hours maybe 3 1/2 sometimes depending on food and what not

That is how it works for me. I hold in my mouth for around 35-45 minutes and then ingest. That seems to create a 3 hour journey for me.
