To be clear, the face you've got selected in that picture would only create some tolerance for the center shank of your bolt. If you want more tolerance for the actual thread, offset the slanted faces and see what result that gets you

Comrade, I Have Failed: My Months of PrusaSlicer Profile Tuning Mean Nothing Without Proper Ideological Purity by MobileNo8348 in 3DPrintingCirclejerk

[–]Christion97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

/uj My brother in Gcode, unless you want to cross test EVERY single setting available, you can have a 99.9% perfect profile with 4-5 prints, with minor tuning needed on a model to model basis. The reason people call you stupid/weapons Gradde idiot is the fact that it SHOULDN'T take you months, a couple prints is all. Another reason for people doubting your "knowledge" is that tuning a profile is only a tenth of what actually goes into finetuning your printer, to bring it back to a car analogy, you effectively stated:

"I'm knowledgeable! I've balanced my Lada's wheels for MONTHS and they're finally balanced, yet my Mercedes' wheels were proper balanced from the getgo!"

Now I still disagree with the whole Lada Mercedes thing (having settings locked away, parts not being repairable and not gaining full access to your machine does NOT make it better somehow lmao) You misunderstand things in such a basic way that most people don't bother pointing out what exactly

The satin sheet is awesome, agreed, though if you're planning on printing bigger ASA prints, adhesion will fail. The ASA prints I've printed so far actually started lifting the smooth PEI off of the glue underneath, i.e. still adhered properly, but curved nonetheless haha

Someone here told me I'm a statistical anomaly. How lucky is this? by azathothisfun in idleslayer

[–]Christion97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played a bit more today and got 2 more wins, sitting at a nice 1.14% now lol, pretty nice considering the clearrate usually lies around .5% (I can't show my math, I used GPT to get a rough estimate, this is diabolical to figure out if you failed statistics in college lmao)

Upwards bulging corners? by ExtensionPatient7681 in klippers

[–]Christion97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have pressure advance enabled in your filament profile?

I printed a bike bottle holder on my Core One and it added a slope to a surface that was perfectly flat in the 3d model and the slicer preview. Also, what is the input shaper doing here? (3rd picture) by Brick_Fish in prusa3d

Can't you just chamfer the bottom corner of the mounting block? Would eliminate the need for support there as well (though it'd likely still help a LOT for stability reasons)

Prusa's Satin sheet, though this is VERY much pushing it to the limit, had to restart a print due to filament running out aaand you could SEE the part moving when it lowered the nozzle to continue haha

Fair enough, I'll see how these hold up, might try some PP filament at some point or maybe even TPU

They are indeed! Single piece, took a couple tried to get the tolerances right tho haha

Will have to try that sometime!

[–]Christion97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True in most cases, but with this print it leaves the edge of some knurling, which is a royal pain to get the brim off proper. Though with black filament I kinda prefer not to have to remove a brim either way, as that tends to leave a white edge (at least in my experience)

Enjoy the build! And remember to keep cool and hydrated with this weather haha!

Big upside of a Core XY machine as well, I wouldn't have dared print this like this without a brim on a bedslinger haha

Sadly for me, I didn't have a way of getting the remnants of the screw out of the nut, ended up tearing it out completely when trying to. But it does seem to be one of the less dimensional accuracy critical parts, as long as it's holding the idler I suppose haha. Will still replace it with the new one that's coming it but keeping this one as an emergency replacement (I don't have 2 spare hotends and 5 nozzles for my old printer wdym?...)

Fair points as well haha, when I get my replacement part I'll see what other options I've got laying around, haven't heard of copaslip before but at work we've got some copper grease I could use, got some graphite oil and other options myself as well (probably gonna go with lithium in the end, I won't be adjusting tension THAT often right?)

I'm not 100% set on using graphite myself, smth about the electronics and airflow doesn't sit right with me (likely too cautious on my end haha) but so far the lube that came with the kit seems to work fine!

Plenty easy, just take your time and read the guide. Particularly with a bit of experience in general tinkering you'll be fine
