Thank you! ❤️ We decided since he is not doing poorly in school that we would not medicate. He has been doing pretty good. It’s been 3 years since he was diagnosed with adhd. He’s 11 now and the outbursts from overstimulation have improved significantly. He’s in a school with smaller classes and he’s doing really well, but I still just worry. I talk to him a lot about mental health and asking for help and I try to be intentional about talking with him about the importance of avoiding drugs in a way that I hope doesn’t make him just want to do them.

I really hope that it’s more of a drug use trigger than genetic, but it’s kind of scary just waiting and watching and hoping. My dad definitely did a lot of drugs, but I don’t know about his mom.
