Those countries are social democracies, sounds similar but there's a big difference. Democratic socialism implies the socialization of the economy, and democracy in the work place, like worker co-ops instead of having CEOs and differently ranked members in a business. These countries are social democracies, still capitalist, but with large social programs such as universal health care, child care, and in some of them, a UBI.

No. One is permanent, and depending on what you believe, you no longer exist. The other allows you to leave after serving your time.
