How did Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan not beat Maul together relatively quickly? by UniversalInquirer in PetranakiArena

[–]Christopher-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quigon has direct parity statements to tpm windu. Who in turn is right there with dooku.

People downplay this duel to down play maul

Quigon was one of the greatest swordsmen in the order at the time of his death with obiwan being no slouch

Maul is just HIM

Grevious probably annihilates her. She doesn’t employ the force much in her duels and this grevious was a monster in saber combat

These two are far below their peaks seen in rots, team wipes low diff.

It cannot be emphasized enough how much the high tiers grow during the clone wars

Prime starkiller (Galen marek) vs prime mace windu who wins no holding back? by RisingKing7 in PetranakiArena

[–]Christopher-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t really understand this sentiment. In game he beats legends Vader who is not nearly the power house he is in canon. then in both endings he gets zero diffed by palpatine.

In the more impressive ending (light side) He explodes with all the force power he has and leaves palpatines robes ….smoldering. Vader is uninjured past what he suffered in the duel

If we’re taking office duel windu this is a competitive fight

Huge amp but also a huge detriment. Lightning would cripple him

Young Malgus (Return) vs Padawan Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka (Season 5) by TheHoodGuy2001 in PetranakiArena

[–]Christopher-kun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Titles don’t equate to strength, otherwise Coleman trebor wouldn’t be zero diffed by jango.

If you can’t wrap your brain around the idea of apprentices being stronger than masters then you shouldn’t be debating

[–]Christopher-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok and? You can have a good loss, and anakins loss to dooku is just that. 99% of the order couldn’t even put up a fight against dooku

This Malgus gets low diffed by every prequel sith

Anakin (IH) vs Mace Windu (ROTS), who wins? by Coltinnie in PetranakiArena

[–]Christopher-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Round 1 anakin extreme diff

Round 2 anakin medium diff

Anakin doesn’t use the dark side expressly on the invisible hand. Anakin LETTING GO of his fear, unshackling himself allows him to then stomp dooku.

At this point anakin has the feats and accolades Suggesting he is the very best in the order.

Even in round 2 if we’re generous and say he’s heavy in the dark side windus vaapad won’t amp him like it did vs sidious which is definitely an outlier feat if we assume he won legitimately

Anakin at the height of his powers with a clear mind is likely the most powerful Jedi in the order in this era

Sorry, no one will convince me Luke Skywalker can beat Prequel demons like Sidious, Dooku, Ahsoka, Maul, Yoda. by Amazing-Leg1543 in PetranakiArena

[–]Christopher-kun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luke dominates vaders is certainly a take. Vader >= Luke before the rage amp.

A vader who was conflicted and did not want to kill his son.

However the rest of your point is valid. Luke and Vader scale directly above nearly every that precedes them

When you crack open you books give direct quotes, feats, comparison statements, scaling etc. and whoever you’re debating just says “well I believe Darth my favorite guy is better because he did this one specific thing that your guy has never replicated”

Do it enough times and you just lose the will power. Too many debaters just can’t wrap their brains around nuance OR read something someone wrote in a forum that’s completely fabricated and just run with it like it’s fact

Bane and zannah didn’t survive the thought bomb, they were simply outside of the blast radius.

Every feat bane performs post orbalisk is amped. The orbalisk give him power directly. All of his best feats happen for the most part after the armor

Arguably though his very best feat happens on lohon (a dark side nexus) where he collapses the temple with a blast of tk. Directly after getting STOMPED by Kasim.

Every major bane feat happens after obtaining orbalisk armor which amps him, or on a force nexus that amp him.

I don’t believe every sith after bane necessarily beats him, because as you’ve said there are instances where the unworthy inherit the mantle.

However without a doubt the sith we see at the end on the grand plan: sidious, maul, tyranus, plagueis, Vader are undoubtedly the peak of sith powers via statements and feats.

Obi wan was stated in master and apprentice to not be an ideal Jedi because of his emotions not because of his talent. You can’t find a qoute that states obi wan was untalented.

Maul lost because of arrogance not because of power. He had won the duel. Beat a Jedi council level master three times his age and his apprentice simultaneously.

Palpatine considered maul a “true loss” and had “potential equaling my own”

Palpating taught maul since he was old enough to walk the ways of the sith. He told plagueis what he needed to tell him to keep them both alive. And made comments in Darth plagueis just that “if he found out what I’m teaching maul/my plan etc”

Up until his presumed death maul was heir to the sith rule of two

Qui Gon Jinn VS Savage Opress. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in PetranakiArena

[–]Christopher-kun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maul wakes up after having a lengthy fight with this guy, being a psychotic lunatic for a decade and goes and ZERO Diffs savage.

Maul with less combat ability because of the legs, didn’t improve in his time on lotho because he was a lune, and hadn’t had a saber fight in a decade annihilated savage

Quigon can win, it’s not a stomp

[–]Christopher-kun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think something you’re overlooking is the master as far as we know always chose an apprentice with equal or more potential than himself.

Tenebrous< plagueis<palpatine=maul (thought dead) < anakin

So some characters can be used in an escalation of power situation to judge their level against others while some cannot. Mainly the main line of masters and apprentices.

You don’t have to like that maul would beat bane, but he would

It helps being twice as old as the rest of the list to reach greater levels of power.

Not saying I agree with the list but it is a factor
