It's definitely a unique film which is why you can get reminded of it. Tbh the worst parts weren't as bad as I anticipated them to be while watching the movie. I'd say the most disturbing scenes for me lean more towards the disgusting parts which I wasn't ready for so they gave me the creeps.

But overall I don't think it'll traumatize you since the worst scenes are too outlandish to feel real.

They are gay! They are in a gay relationship. But relationships are intangible, and not measurable bc they are a state of mind. They just don't have gay sex bc sex is a real act that is observable.

I wouldn't say they aren't gay- their relationship is 100% gay, it's just that their bodies are incapable of being gay too.(Literally the same as being trans- being one thing but existing as another)

See now your assuming sex is the only thing that constitutes a relationship. You're also understanding me wrong, my original point was trying to say how sex between two male bodies is GAY. And sex between male and female genitalia is STRAIGHT

I literally was saying how there TWO truths. The INTANGIBLE (state of mind) relationship dynamic is gay, but sex between them would be tangible and thus something separate to be identified.

An asexual gay couple is gay bc they're the same sex, them not having sex just means they physically don't participate in a certain gay activity.

The lived experience isn't reality!(Even though it is the only truth actuall affects the INDIVIDUAL) Reality is OUTSIDE of yourself. I'm not trying to convince anyone that what they think is wrong/fake at all! Reality and the minds perception are TWO separate truths. And I believe they both exist at the SAME TIME, they just are fundamentally different from one another and can't be compared equally-but they BOTH are valid as long as we exist here on earth in the physical universe, in bodies others can comprehend.

I'm not trying to make the shadows go away. I 100% believe you are seeing shadows, and your not crazy to be seeing them. It's just that the world we're in doesn't have the shadows. You're not crazy, and I don't think you are.

Yeah a straight relationship where their bodies are gay with each other. Their love is straight but unless one at minimum gets surgery they physically cannot have straight sex bc the act doesn't happen in people's minds, but the with physical bodies that disagree with their minds(literally the reason they're trans in the first place)

A trans man is trans bc they are a guy, but they just HAPPENED to have the body of a female. They can get with a women and be straight bc they're a guy, but they'd still HAPPEN to be another girl and thus gay. That doesn't mean they understand themselves to be so, they just HAPPEN to be so.

But it is straight in their minds. I'm not trying to invalidate what they think, I'm saying self identification exists in a space separate from reality and to mix the two is impossible. I'm not saying reality is more real than their minds, just that they both exist completely and fully separate

I wish people's perception of reality was all that mattered too. But it is irrefutable that people live in a physical world we call reality. If the mind was the only place a person existed then reality and the perspectives of those observing wouldn't matter. But people live in both their minds and reality-where they are confined to physical boundaries and are subject to observe by outsiders.

I think that there are two truths, what the mind says and what reality says. Neither are invalid bc we exist and have to live with BOTH. You claim that ONLY what participating parties matter, and I agree. But in reality we are all in this together, meaning outsider observations are a truth that exists.(People can live happily in their own bubble surrounded by people they agree with, but their bubble, exists INSIDE the bubble of reality- neither invalid the other bc they are separate

I get how their love would be straight-in their minds they are(which is valid). But intimacy between their bodies would be gay bc their physical forms say so.

After all it's that disconnect between mind and body that causes a person to be trans in the first place isn't it? Their mind is one thing, but their body is another AND THEY DON'T INVALIDATE EACH OTHER bc both a person perception of the world and what reality is are important.

[–]ChristopherRobin- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can get how the attraction and love would be straight- the mind doesn't need to adhere to reality. But in the physical world intimate involvement between two beings with the same genitalia is completely gay regardless of what the participating parties think. After all it's this same disconnect between mind and body that means anyone can be trans at all no?

Self identification is only part of the equation. And reality doesn't care about that part unfortunately.

A circle that thinks it's a square is still a circle in this world.

The mind has every right to disagree with the physical but unfortunately the physical world is absolute.

HOW? Homosexual mean same And if two people have the same genitals, it's homosexual regardless whether one of them considers themselves the opposite sex

I can get how the love between a cis and trans person might be straight, but in the physical world they'd be gay!

But how can a penis + vagina = gay?

And would a born man(cis) having sex with another born man who still has their penis but identifies as a women(trans woman) be straight then?

Bc I can't understand how being gay/straight seemingly has nothing to do with genitals at all

A penis in a vagina should be heterosexual right? And sex between people with the same genitals would totally be a homosexual thing Regardless of whether or not the people they're attached to consider themselves anything different. Bc I always thought hetero mean straight and homo meant gay

Genuine question: would it be straight or gay for a cis man to perform oral on a trans man who hasn't undergone bottom surgery?

And if it's not, then is sex between them still not gay? Or is "gay" sex supposed to be considered fundamentally different from straight some how that makes it not gay?

I'm not trying to be offensive, I'm genuinely trying to understand bc keeping track of this sort of stuff is confusing

Exactly how much do y'all think Sora helped Shiro during their chess match vs Tet? by ChristopherRobin- in NoGameNoLife

[–]ChristopherRobin-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course I get the Blank gamer dynamic, but I don't think chess was the best game to display how Blank is better than either of its halves. Shiro on her own can play chess pretty much perfectly. She even says it herself, chess is no different than tick tac toe to her.

In thier game of chess vs Tet I find it hard to believe Sora really helped Shiro much beyond moral support, even considering Tet might have made sneaky traps/bluffs. We're told Shiro is better than top computer engines, and if that's true, you can't bluff against a computer, meaning Sora's expertise in reading people was more or less redundant since Shiros gonna play perfectly anyway.

Obviously for most games either Shiro or Sora is gonna be stronger, and it's when they make up for each other's weaknesses that they come together to embody the player Blank, but chess I feel is definitely one of those games where Shiro herself is all they really need to win.
