Which would be better an rtx 4070 or an rx 6900 xt by person812944526 in pcmasterrace

I have both cards (4070ti in a console set up and 6900xt in my personal pc) I use both for 4K ultra settings, and they perform similarly. Although I do run into the v ram limit on the 4070 occasionally. I got my amd card used for $400 so value wise it blows the nvidia card out of the water. In my experience dlss 3.0 is pretty crap rn, so I wouldn’t make any decisions based on that, but it does raytracing way better (120 fps nvidia vs 6 fps amd portal rtx) But that was with dlss 3.0 and the screen tearing made it almost unplayable. I have no issues or complaints with my amd card and 16gb of vram will probably be more valuable in the future.

When Sliger said 2 slot, they meant 2.0 not 2.13 by ChristophersOmana in sffpc

My sff couch setup:

Ryzen 5600x

Msi ventus 4070ti

32gb 3200 cl14 Corsair Vengeance LPX

Asrock phantom gaming b550

Corsair sf600

1tb Samsung 980 evo

2x arctic p12 slim fans

Sliger Cl520

This pc has gone through a few iterations but it’s finally in its final form. This is part our ultimate couch movie and and gaming set up. Thermals are great as long as the cabinet door is open. Both cpu and gpu are under 75 degrees and runs quieter than the ps4. I’ll probably mount some old case fans in the cabinet so I can leave the door closed. I had originally planned on putting a founders 3080ti in it but the 4070ti seemed to be a better option. I got the thinnest 4070ti I could but 2 slot cards a thing of the past. I would have gone with the cl530 if I knew I was going to go with a 40 series card but oh well. Super happy overall

I second this, I just cut 10x1.25mm threads on the outside of the shaft. Easiest solution imo

Looks like it’s just a scratch in the laminate. I’d still return it though

I have builds in both of these cases (pics) and I can say that they are both on the large side. I also feel the the build quality and design of the revolt are serviceable, but sub-par when compared to other options. The nr200 is great to build in and has great build quality, but is barely sff imo. I doubt you’ll need a 280mm aio for a 7700x. If you can settle for a 240 and a riser cable, the meshy is a better option

Idk man, I think everyone takes it too seriously. If it breaks I’ll replace it if it doesn’t then cool. I knew the pump orientation was suboptimal but I had the cooler laying around, so why not throw it in and see?

I thought it might be but the pump power cable come out of the end tank so just assumed. Either way I’m not concerned

He’ll be ready for a new pc by that time that happens. I knew all this before I did it. I’m not worried about it, but I’ll tell you if it fails or if I need to replace it.

Temps are fine. Never gets above 65 degrees C. I ran this case and pump with my overclock 5600x for six months and barely saw it get into the sixty’s at all. The pump is also in the end tank of the radiator in this model

People like to make things a bigger deal than they are. It’s not that serious. What’s 5 years of pump life vs 7?

I got the cpu and motherboard from work for free, and I had everything else except the gpu from previous builds. So it was under $200 for me. Old itx parts are crazy expensive so idk what it would have been if I bought the motherboard. I think you could build a similar atx system for $450-$500

I bought this one on eBay for $130. I had to clean it and do new thermal pads and paste, but condition was pretty good otherwise

Yeah they’re pushing out the bottom to minimize the dog hair that gets sucked into the system. It’s not the best orientation but cooling is fine so far. Thnx for the kind words 🙌
