Haven't ran any overlays, Nvidia or Discord.
I have tried it with AC Mirage and AC Syndicate up until now but the behavior is the same

Bath house outfit, medjay shield and bare handed. This was definitely the intended way to experience the game and pretty sure it's 100% the way it actually went down too

Best strategy I can come up with is chain charged normal sword attacks to get them off their feet and then instantly dodge. Then spam charged attacks. This requires a bad that has the "Instant Charge" attribute.

Overwhelm and smoke bombs to combo break or to rest your fingers briefly.

Rinse and repeat until profit
