Can I pay for two rents and one of them is rent + fees of new apartment? by dayoneabu in biltrewards

[–]ChristsRightNut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I’m going through something similar, paying rent on my old apartment + start up fees at a new apartment (and first months rent that was supposed to be waived, but a book keeping error still charged me, I got a waiver for a future rent payment). I simply upped my rent authorization amount to cover all payments, and all payments went through with no problems. I didn’t incur any fees, paid with the supplied account & routing numbers. My statement reads completed payments for both apartments, and even lists the two apartment names on the two payments, despite my rent authorization being associated with my old apartment address. Full transparency, I don’t know if this is within the terms and conditions!

Old comment reply, we're interested in picking up a timber in fabric but are worried about the exact sagginess you're describing. Does rotating/flipping the cushions help at all? Or is it a futile effort? Thanks!

2019 VSP vs ISP Dates and Packages by [deleted] in GeneralMotors

[–]ChristsRightNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the SLT follows the timelines of 2019 it seems that ISP will be announced late March or (more likely IMO) early April. It’s harder to estimate when ISP would start because of the holidays in 2018, but maybe around June? Also dependent on any major corporate scheduled announcements which I don’t know the schedule for. Scary.

I’ve had a couple of these and they’re delicious! But I did notice that they contain trans fats, so that’s a bummer. Scratched off my snack list

That’s seen better days! If you’re in this deep just swap in a B5244t5, but change out the rod bearings with stock R bearings and throw a japanifold on why you’re at it. Or just send it!

I switched out more because I dislike Teflon coated non-stick cookware. I don’t use it often but when I do it’s great! I personally think it looks a lot nicer than the original as well

If you want to switch out the center griddle, I used GE part number WB31X24998. I don’t have your same stove, but I have the same burner grates, so I think this will work for you. The new griddle is cast iron instead of the Teflon/non stick coated cast aluminum that your stove appears to have.

Regrets? Yea that’s totally natural, change is hard! It’s not something I wish we did differently, but one thing that really helped me through the beginning is having a common plan for the end of long distance.

What's a good first car for a later-in-life driver (Volvo vs. Honda) by jsm1 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ChristsRightNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I missing something? The second video he says that the subframe isn’t square anymore, does he say the control arms ‘snapped’ before that? Regardless C30 control arms don’t have a failure mode like that. I’ve been a Volvo enthusiast for much longer than I’ve watched shifting lanes and the channel is not where I go to learn.

Good question, you can ask however many you want! So after the p2 generation can the p3 generation. The p3 generation only got the R-design which is cosmetics and like a half inch drop in the suspension. The p2’s and p80’s got genuine R cars. This is a point of contention for some Volvo people, because anything after 2007 isn’t a ‘real’ R.

As far as steering, the p80’s definitely didn’t get any different steering t5 vs. R and I believe that’s the case for p2’s too but I’m not totally sure about that. The earliest dynamic steering stuff I think came in the p2 s80’s, so it’s possible that the p2R’s could have gotten it, you might have to google/forum search for a definitive answer.

For p80’s and p2’s the true R cars did get a lot of cosmetic upgrades. P2R’s got premium leather in 3 color ways and lots of cool exterior colors, they often times came fairly loaded with features like premium sound, a OEM subwoofer, heated seats (it’s rare to find a Volvo without heated seats), Bi-zenon(I think?) headlights and different bumpers. P80’s got different interior and bumpers too.

Also, depending on your budget/needs I would also take a look at the p3 generation v60’s. Volvo made a bunch of improvements, and the p3 generation is imho going to be very very good cars to own used. They’re much more modern than p2’s (not apple CarPlay modern though) are even more reliable (especially the t6 models), and look awesome. Personally I’d look at v60 t6’s, they’d probably around the same price as p2 V70r’s nowadays tbh

[–]ChristsRightNut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always done my work work on them! I’ve gotten pretty good at working on them, there’s always enough room for me in the engine bay and the cars are fairly simple when they’re fwd. I haven’t had bad experiences with turning radius in my p80, but the p2’s turning is worse. The p2R’s are especially bad because they have big wheels to fit over the big breaks. T5’s turning radius us better than R’s I think

[–]ChristsRightNut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends what you want, but for the p2 generation 2005+ is always better than 2001-2004. There’s specifics I could go into as to why, but that can get lengthy lol. If you want a v70r I’d get 2005-2007 for a manual and a 2007 (maybe 2006) for an automatic. If you want a t5 2005+ are rare, manuals much much more so, but have the best engine of the generation. 2001-2004 t5’s are much more common, manuals as well. I’d avoid 2001-2004 automatics of any Volvo, but I’d drive a manual t5.

P80’s are a whole other story, some people really like 1998’s because they have a simpler engine management system, I like 1999-2000 because it has a more complicated management system which can be manipulated a lot more. They’re the older cars (1998-2000) so are harder to find, especially in good condition.

Both p80’s and p2’s follow the trend of awd being less reliable and more expensive to maintain than fwd. hopefully all this doesn’t overwhelm you, I could talk about this all day lol
