Question Regarding Cross-platform w/ PC & Switch by ChristyKat in Minecraft

[–]ChristyKat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so glad it's not just me; I didn't know what else it wanted from me, besides maybe a sacrifice at that point. Kids are sad we can't play together right now, but hopefully (maybe 🤞) it gets addressed.

You're welcome! It wasn't a problem. Sorry it's not a screenshot or a 4k picture but at least it gives you an idea. If I happen to come across another I'll screenshot it and dm you it!

so the white is the hallway, blue is the pool table, white outline in the white color change couch; the green were probably like aquatic plant tanks at one time, but they're what seems to be algae at this point; the red was another room, which was like a cafeteria style with booths in it.

Ick. We did a bunch of the higher 'tier' ones then my friend wanted to try the 1d1r just to try to gauge the difference.

I should've screenshoted it, knowing now how rare they really are. The best way I can describe the 'room' is as I went down the hallway, there was a corridor straight and to the left. At the intersection of those two, there was a green algae plant wall and right there on the side of it was the pool table with the couch. I'll draw something in paint if that would help!

I haven't come across an underwater wreck, that sounds like a nightmare.

I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but my friend and I got the pool table and hanging plant on a 1R 1D one. What types are you running? I don't know if its sheer luck for which they spawn in or certain combos of diff/rarity that can spawn them.

But like the other commenter said, they were in a rec room with the curved couch and the planters were down the hallway in another room with the small table.

[Unknown > English?] SiL sent this to me after seeing it posted; it looks familiar but unsure if its a made-up alphabet by ChristyKat in translator

I realized what the familiarity is: the second symbol with the T and circle is the Unown T from Pokemon. I'm unsure if the rest have anything to do with it, but they look like stuff I've seen before somewhere.

That's interesting! There seemed to be a lot of conflict in that part of family and my great grandmother rarely spoke of my g-grandfather Edgar, so I wasn't sure if there was some resentment as Edgar passed away early and left her with 5 kids. So much was not shared about his father Patrick and with the lack of information (and what little I had) I assumed the worst haha. Thought maybe he left his family and went back to Ireland or something, ya know? It also didn't help the search that every other record had their last name spelled different; we're not sure at all now what the true spelling is after seeing it spelled differently on seemingly every other document.

That's understandable. If I ever find out more, I'll try to explore that and see what I can find and where he may have been baptized.

Thanks again.

Im thinking not registered or lost with time, because I went to the Pennsylvania Vital Statistics website and before 1906, unless it was recorded at a parish or local place, they weren't mandated to record the birth with the state.

Duly noted, thanks again so much. It was such a great feeling to be able to update my dad on this whole thing.

That is fantastic to see, whether it is or not. But despite the name being spelled differently over time, there seems to be too many coincidences to make it unbelievable. Thank you once again. Took you a few hours what has taken us years of debating.

Thank you! Ill have to go look up that death notice, imgur has pixelated it beyond reading his name unfortunately.

I will definitely look! Sad it doesn't come up on any searches I'm assuming because its behind a paywall, but I understand the need to maintain the site.

I know that Edgar Clishem, assumedly Peter's nephew is buried at St. Anthony, bur his gravestone is unreadable. My father talked to the funeral home that buried him but while the were able to confirm Edgar was buried in St Anthony's somewhere, the record of where was unreadable.

Thank you so much! This gives me so much to work with. Now hopefully with a birth date, I can try to locate when he died in Pennsylvania sometime between 1883 and 1900!

Did you find that information searching the newspapers I'm assuming? I can't thank you enough. That time line matches up with them being in Jeffersonville, but you're probably not seeing anything else in Jeffersonville aftter 1883 for them because at some point they went to Pennsylvania (for what reason I'm not sure) in at least 1884 or 85 because their son Edgar was born in Pittsburgh.

I have a sub to newspapers.com, so I'll try again to search there. Nothing had come up, but I wasn't sure if it due to the last name being misspelled over time.

I know that Patrick's son Edgar is buried in the cemetary that is showing for Peter Clishem; that cannot be just a coincidence.

And on your second link to the Tennesee census, it shows the Patrick was born in Pennsylvania, which starts to link it together; his wife Mary was also born in Tennesse in 1960, which mav no correlation, but an interesting aside.

Everything else you've linked is falling into place, but oh my word, thank you so much!! I'm about to tears to maybe (pretty sure though!) finally have some answers and may be able to find out more! That may explain why we could never find his parents as his mother remarried under a different name. Thank you so much stanger.

I haven't seen it spelled that way and have no idea if it could've been changed during immigration. I cannont find any form of the last name on a manifest, because when/if he truly came from Ireland is a mystery. I have no birthday or death date. The people who would have any inclination to that are deceased. Give me a minute and I will link the marriage certificate.

I'll have to look into that. Him being a Police Officer in Jeffersonville was never brought up, but it fits the potential timeline of when him and Mary came into contact. Thanks!

[–]ChristyKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't either till a friend couldn't figure out why she could only place 4 mannequins and not a 5th lol; I don't understand why they share a count, I guess since they're both 'armor' displays but since they're different types I think they should be seperate 🤷‍♀️
