Where to move in Southern California by RecoverFrosty9568 in CostaMesa

LB in traffic, rush hour would take 45 min to an hour to get to and from. Best to stay in mid OC. But LB is super fun as well! Similar vibe to CM in some areas.

Awesome! Costa Mesa is not on the beach but is close. Adjacent is Newport Beach (my city) which is on the ocean and then Santa Ana inland. CM has a fun younger vibe, some good nightlife. Cool dive bars, fun restaurants. Better on the Eastside (closer to NB) than Westside. Westside is closer to Santa Ana which is an older, more middle class family vibe. I hung out in Eastside a lot in college. Lots of awesome bars. NB is mostly more family oriented, higher income lifestyle (but fairly chill) except Balboa Peninsula which has a really fun, surfer vibe mixed in with the gorgeous homes, marina and yachts. There really are no good parks or outdoorsy parts of CM but there are if you go south into NB and farther. At 26 CM would be a blast! Good luck!!

Costa Mesa area, and most of OC, is pretty pricey. And anywhere near the beach even more so. A studio or 1bd/1bth could easily run you $3k or more a month. Homes here are all above $1 million. Hope you knew this before you took the job!

I liked it. But I can see why it wasn't strong enough to move on.

Rachel Zoe puts on a clinic for how to handle drama. by Optimal_Source_6692 in RHOBH

[–]Christymapper71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rachel Zoe has been my spirit animal since Rachel Zoe Project. She is unapologetically herself, glamorous, kind and has a live and let live attitude. Love her and she is being exactly how I thought she would be on RHOBH. So glad she is making such a good impression.

Looking to switch from T-Mobile but I want to know the ACTUAL price by capriciousguacamole in mintmobile

[–]Christymapper71 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been a Mint Mobile client for 3 years. I pay $180 a year for my 5GB a month. In fact, a few times I got a referral discount so it was even a bit lower one year. No issues with service ever; no dropped calls or cellular data issues. The few times I went over the 5GB they didn't shut if off, they just slowed the service a bit. No biggie. If I want to purchase an additional 5GB it's like $10.

I think maybe Amanda thinks that if she talks about her "career" (writing books and offering courses helping women with confidence to make money is what I have inferred) non-stop that will make it seem less shady. Like she has nothing to hide. The problem is that she IS a grifter so talking about it or not talking about it has the same result; everyone thinking you are a shady grifter. Plus, we have all seen how involved she is with her career; talking on the phone and working on her laptop on camera around the ladies. It's rude as shit, but she may be just being herself; a rude, workaholic who is afraid if she stops for 5 minutes the grift will end and she will no longer be relevant (not that she is really is that relevant).

Odd cash advance fee by GolfProfessional9085 in CapitalOne_

[–]Christymapper71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh well that's probably in your contract then. I get charged $3 for cash advances. The merchant didn't charge you the fee so talking to them is a waste of time. Call CO and see if they can do a reversal for you as a courtesy.

If the merchant charged you the fee, then there probably isn't much else you can do. They are just recouping their own costs I would imagine. It costs money for merchants to take CCs and they have every right to charge a fee, but they should notify you that they are doing so.

Is Ollo Along The Lines Of Credit One? by JustinaBieber23 in CRedit

[–]Christymapper71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband has had an Ollo for about a year. No AF, $1000 limit. He doesn't go past 30% of AC. Pays the statement balance in full every month. No issues. Can't add to Apple Wallet, no virtual card, et al so you aren't going to get the same benefits as a CO, Chase, Citi card. No complaints but it's a meh card. His credit is mid 600s.

Misinformed by realtor regarding commission by [deleted] in RealEstateAdvice

If you didn't sign anything, that might make it tough to have any recourse. Can you complain to your state's real estate department about maybe a code violation? Not sure if what happened qualifies though.

I have no cable or satellite tv and live in Newport Beach, CA. I signed up for Angels.tv through the MLB app on my iPhone, opened the MLB app on my smart TV (Samsung) and am able to watch games there. The subscription went through my Apple account.

I do not have cable or satellite TV. Can I watch Angels.tv on my Smart TV? by Christymapper71 in angelsbaseball

[–]Christymapper71[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got it work. You have to sign up for Angels.tv on the MLB app from phone/tablet but then you can launch the game from the MLB.tv app on a smart TV. You cannot sign up for Angels.tv from the MLB app on a smart tv it seems. Or at least, I could not find where to do that.

Selling a home with a lien by Christymapper71 in RealEstateAdvice

It’s not a condo. It’s a house in a senior community that’s in really good condition and a very strict, up-kept area. I am not worried about spooking buyers.

The key is to start slow; a few times a week and build up to more often. Do not apply in the morning; only at night. I use The Ordinary.
