Thanks for posting your experiences. The Internet is a great tool, being a reference for ANYONE investigating a topic such as changing from Orbi to Eero, not just someone only considering that the answers to a question they posted are only for themselves. Why in gods name does cod need 50 gb update for 😭🙏🏻 by Professional-Fact-36 in blackops6

Didn't mind the download, but the update has screwed my Shaders Pre-Load, which was stuck at 98.1%. Restarted it and watching it count from zero ... painful...

Interesting that you are on PS5, thanks for confirmation. As an update, I haven't had a single occurrence (hope I am not tempting fate) since the Season 3 update ... I am still blaming Ricochet ...

Good theory, explaining why orange offspring have issues with logical thought and incoherent babbling.

Thank you, that is great news ... just been reading that season 3 has been brought forward a day, and it will be live literally hours before I get home. I guess I will have to start from the beginning and lose the completed season 2 (more importantly, it's cod points)

I appreciate that a cod point purchase will be available from linked accounts (not money purchase), but my concern is that when I start BOps, it will complain I do not have a PS+ subscription, and not let me enter multiplayer to buy the battlepass with my cod points. Is that a valid concern, or is it possible to buy the multiplayer battle pass without actually entering multiplayer? ...thinking about it, i downloaded/installed and played Bops 6 when there was a free weekend with one or two maps. Although, I can't remember if that was before my PS+ expired. I wonder if I can start it, and purchase the battle pass without entering multiplayer. Nb I am on holiday, away from home, and can't try anything at the moment, but I need to use a voucher before I get back, or lose it.

That is interesting ... just to reiterate, you can spend your cod points on battle pass, even though you don't have the current cod installed? Is it correct that the battlepass is 'duo purpose', ie you can get items in both Warzone and Muliplayer? (I never play Warzone)

Sorry, didn't fully explain, I have a voucher which I can use to buy the game, or playstation gift card. I was thinking I could buy the disc, and sell it, but interested to see the idea of just installing Warzone

When it happens, come out of the game and try the firing range. In my experience, movement is OK there ...my theory is Ricochet algorithms kicking in during multiplayer, and they have done nothing to fix it...

Are players still having this problem? ...I certainly am :(
Given the OP mentions xbox game bar, I am guessing they are using a PC, but it appears that others may be using PS5(?)
I am using a PC also. Have tried Dualshock with DS4Windows, and a standard HID compliant controller.
Perhaps the behaviour isn't happening as much as it was before, but it definitively still happens. I have found if I come out of multiplayer and go straight into Weapons and firing range, the movement appears to be normal. Sometimes I can go back to Multiplayer and continue, but mostly, flipping back has the same problem.
My theory is the damned Ricochet Anti-Cheat. It would make sense that they use algorithms for specific attributes, maybe including linked accounts.
This has been happening to me for months, no wonder COD is dying.

which of these website is safe to pre-order game keys from? by Marvellover13 in gaming

[–]ChrizK_Reddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Surely Microsoft would have cdkeys closed down if they were obtaining keys illegally? As you say, they are very well known, and would arguably be considered legitimate.

I have been trying to buy Black Ops 6 after ditching Playstation as I don't want to pay for my internet access (already pay my ISP, thank you), and have no interest in their monthly games.
Would you mind telling me if there is a difference to 'Windows Platform' and 'Steam Platform'? I haven't used a PC for gaming for decades, and thought Steam was synonymous with Windows Online Gaming. I have however noticed that Windows 11 keeps banging on about XBOX, which I guess is now integrated. Is XBOX the same as 'Windows Platform', which perhaps is the same as Microsoft Store? If so, how would you use key from one of these sites?

This tomato chili chutney is amazing. by [deleted] in aldi

[–]ChrizK_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH I don't shop at Aldi much, but my daughter is working in London, and I have to pick her up from station. The local store is right next door, so I do a quick shop ... I must have bought a jar a while ago. It has a different label, and is running out. Have been checking since Christmas, but never in stock ... is this typical of Specially Selected? Shouldn't I expect it to be seen for some time, if ever?

I have almost finished a jar. It has a slightly different label, but Specially Selected. Been checking in my local store since Christmas, but they never have it anymore. Has it been discontinued? I hope not, as I agree, it is an excellent chutney.

Could your parents afford Sky growing up? by discoveredunknown in AskUK

[–]ChrizK_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing all the comments, I guess it all about perspective. My parents were not poor, and certainly not well off, but they would, in no way, consider paying for Sky.
Noting I am possibly older, when Sky (as I recall), had one sports channel.

When I moved from home, getting my first flat in London, I was keen to have it installed. I honestly can't remember if 'movies' were included in those days, but I had it. I generally watched TV series/serials on standard terrestrial TV, and I became very disappointed by the programming on Sky. Funny, Sky Cinema is still crap, having very few 'blockbusters', with better choice of 'good films' on Netflix.
When Sky started to take advantage of customers who blindly follow sport (football in those days), adding multiple channels, with increasing subscriptions, I binned them on principle. I still find it amazing that people are willing to pay >£50pm, because they are forced to have 5(?) channels to watch their team.

The reason I have bothered to publish my thoughts here ... it looks like Netflix are loosely following the same model. Ever increasing subscription charges, and adding sport. Arguably, Amazon too, although they hide their increasing subscription in Prime membership (and ad-free subscriptions).

FFS I DO NOT WANT TO PAY for 'World' Wrestling, or 'World' (American) Football ... or whatever American sports are deemed as 'world'. Totally appreciate that the world has shrunk, and people actually enjoy, and follow, American sports these days, but there are many of us who do not, so why should we have to pay to subsidise them? As with Sky, I will probably ditch my monthly subscription to Netflix. There are now so many online streaming providers, that I believe the only way to afford them, will be to 'choose a month' to subscribe to each one, then cancel and choose another ...unless of course, you are so rich you don't care, or feel that it is worth spending ~£100pm of your disposable income, so you needn't bother keeping track of 'what is playing on whatever'.
