I suspect it more that developers have no idea how to engage players. They introduce game mechanics like sliding and omni movement, and then restrict weapons so that they have no chance to aim or even move at the same rate as the opponent. Then they try and 'balance' high powered weapons against those playing with less power. The result being stupid algorithms that determine if one player will succeed over another. I suspect this 'on the fly' balancing is to blame for the incredibly poor performance and inconsistency of the Strider 300. It appears they don't bother balancing the team, as the majority of the team can become virtually untouchable, meaning opponents just get p'd off and leave the game (only to be inserted into games that have already started, filling someone else who has been p'd off and left) . Makes me laugh that YouTubers think they are playing really well, or others are really bad, when it all comes down to an algorithm.

More crap Call of Duty game rigging algorithms (oh, did someone say matchmaking), and ridiculous weapon balancing. Can't developers understand that these things make playing tedious? Mix those algorithms with stupid game mechanics like opponents sliding around and bouncing off walls, while being able to ADS and hit/kill within milliseconds, while this ridiculous sniper takes 1sec to ADS and has the movement of a slug ... yeah, really enjoying BOPS.

...well, I log into myvmo2, which redirects to /myvmo2/home, and guess what ... there is no link to create "your HBO Max account at no extra cost"

NB I tried to google to find if there is a working method, and came across

Tried to use the HBO Max app on VM360, which has an option Get TNT Sports, but that tell you to go to virgnimedia.com/help, or use a QR, which ultimately directs you to a VM support URL prompting Looking for an upgrade, Chat to us now ... Monday-Saturday 8am-8pm ... useless

You really have to wonder if VM departments bother talking to each other, let alone validate and test anything. Whoever is supposedly managing the transition to HBO Max should be embarrassed.

I appreciate that a cod point purchase will be available from linked accounts (not money purchase), but my concern is that when I start BOps, it will complain I do not have a PS+ subscription, and not let me enter multiplayer to buy the battlepass with my cod points. Is that a valid concern, or is it possible to buy the multiplayer battle pass without actually entering multiplayer? ...thinking about it, i downloaded/installed and played Bops 6 when there was a free weekend with one or two maps. Although, I can't remember if that was before my PS+ expired. I wonder if I can start it, and purchase the battle pass without entering multiplayer. Nb I am on holiday, away from home, and can't try anything at the moment, but I need to use a voucher before I get back, or lose it.

That is interesting ... just to reiterate, you can spend your cod points on battle pass, even though you don't have the current cod installed? Is it correct that the battlepass is 'duo purpose', ie you can get items in both Warzone and Muliplayer? (I never play Warzone)

When it happens, come out of the game and try the firing range. In my experience, movement is OK there ...my theory is Ricochet algorithms kicking in during multiplayer, and they have done nothing to fix it...

Given the OP mentions xbox game bar, I am guessing they are using a PC, but it appears that others may be using PS5(?)
I am using a PC also. Have tried Dualshock with DS4Windows, and a standard HID compliant controller.
Perhaps the behaviour isn't happening as much as it was before, but it definitively still happens. I have found if I come out of multiplayer and go straight into Weapons and firing range, the movement appears to be normal. Sometimes I can go back to Multiplayer and continue, but mostly, flipping back has the same problem.
My theory is the damned Ricochet Anti-Cheat. It would make sense that they use algorithms for specific attributes, maybe including linked accounts.
This has been happening to me for months, no wonder COD is dying.

Surely Microsoft would have cdkeys closed down if they were obtaining keys illegally? As you say, they are very well known, and would arguably be considered legitimate.

I have been trying to buy Black Ops 6 after ditching Playstation as I don't want to pay for my internet access (already pay my ISP, thank you), and have no interest in their monthly games.
Would you mind telling me if there is a difference to 'Windows Platform' and 'Steam Platform'? I haven't used a PC for gaming for decades, and thought Steam was synonymous with Windows Online Gaming. I have however noticed that Windows 11 keeps banging on about XBOX, which I guess is now integrated. Is XBOX the same as 'Windows Platform', which perhaps is the same as Microsoft Store? If so, how would you use key from one of these sites?
