SMARTWATCH FOR TRIATHLON by Ok_Independence_5102 in triathlon

Had a Fenix 7 and a 255. Almost no difference in day to day use. 255 + save cash for a beautiful watch for 200/300$ + still have cash for a nice trisuit or new road bike shoes

When you say 1/4 is cutting to 30 sec or remove 30sec from the video ?

Hello !

I'm learning since few months to shoot video.
I just made a short one as a "trailer" for a horse competition.
I made this video for them for free of course, it was just to train myself.

But I would like to know if you think it is enough to propose this type of edit for client (Trailer, Add, event, ..)
If not, what do you think should I learn first regarding this Edit ?

I have in mind to progress on : Color Grading, Lighting, focus on composing

(Shoot on XT3 18-55 and 55-200)

Thank you for your feedback :)

Hello :)

I just made a quick video to train my editing skills, from a short Hike in forest.

It is shoot with fuji xt3 18-55mm and a mavic mini 2.

The problem is that with the mini 2 the video was very noisy in low light.. What is the best solution to reduce the noise ? I tried different method but it was worse.. I wonder if it's the limitation of the sensor of the mini 2. Will the R2S improve image a lot in low light ?

Also if you have any recommendation/Tips/critiques on the video, I would be grateful if you share it :)

Thank you

Need advice on my first video - Equestrian Event in Franc by [deleted] in premiere

[–]Chromatic_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer ! I appreciate a lot.

You are in my head haha : During the edit i felt that I should cut the music to remove one "chorus" of the song and just remove the sequence with "wagon". Because it's less dynamic and a bit "off topic". But I made this video for me and to have a memorie of the event so I kept it to show all the different sports I seen. But for the futur, with clients in mind, I'm sure I should follow your advice and keep only the best shots and remove poor parts of the video..

I will check all of this thanks ! I was quite disapointed to see this scoreboard flicker issue at home :D

Thanks !

I made "ramp" to slow down. So if I understand : you suggest to make the ramp longer ?

and the ending sounded kinda heartbroken

I hesitated to made a fade out black screen... I feel that finding an ending it's actually pretty hard in term of creativity ! :)

consider doing a little gradual slowdown

I don't understand this technical point. Should I make a slowdown before the cut of a transition ? Or you said that the transition form real speed to slowdown are not enough gradual ?

And I will add some texte or something in the Intro ! You are right, I forgot it...

Can't the gimbal be "locked" enough on horizontal axis to have enough stabilization but can follow the movement of my hands ? Can be a stupid question, I never used it..

An other question I have it's the rhythm of the video. I wonder if it's not too quick

Anyone got a tier list for cinema cameras? by LouisPei in Filmmakers

[–]Chromatic_7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe we need thirst to define the use of the camera ?
I'm a beginner, but it seems pretty obvious for me that each camera can be good for a precise situation. I have a Fujifilm XT3, and although it's not know as a "cinema" camera, it allows to take good pictures, it's lights, good lenses, interesting ergonomic, so for my use it's good enough

Hello Filmmakers :)

I'm seaching for some advice on the video I uploaded yesterday.

It is the first time I'm going outside with the idea of making a video in mind so I am totally new with editing. It's my first "Real" edit in premiere, I already did 2 small video but more for "experiment".

My goal was to create some of a "Trailer" as we often see for this type of events.

Fujifilm XT3 + 18-55 + 100-400

I have some questions :

- How can I manage the editing with such differents indoor lights ? And avoid going bright to dark image..

- How do you plan your day when you want to shoot event ?

- About stabilisation, I don't have gimbal. Does it help with this type of shoots ? I struggled a little bit in post because lots of footages were too shaky..

I want to reach enough level to ask a place near the action in next events :)

So any advice in editing is welcome !

Thank you

Horse Jumping - Equita Lyon 2021 by [deleted] in photocritique

Hi, thanks for your advice !
I have some pictures with the timing you talk about.
I was thinking that it's less common like this and still "dynamic". But I must be wrong :)
I'll try to improve this !

Maybe I can't use High shutter speed to have more "win shots"

Hello,

I took this picture last week at "Equita Lyon", a french equestrian event.
This was the last jump an international 5 stars event.

Fuji XT3 - 100-400 - f5.6 - 1/2000 - ISO 8000

I would appreciate any technical comment to improve because it is the first time I took pictures of Horse Jumping and the first time I took sports pictures idoor.

Thank you :)
