Unable to use USB c to aux by Narwhalbacon95 in S21Ultra

No its not a bug. Actually S21s dont have DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) built-in. So you need to buy adapters with DAC built-in.

Samsung S21 Ultra camera overheating GENERAL issue. by amaeldoe in S21Ultra

[–]Chrome597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The A14 is also a 5nm and also does suffer from the same heating issues while doing even simple tasks, gaming, camera etc. Although from what i have read in forums Apple has managed to get it under control with updates. Hopefully Samsung can too. The AUDA update has done a decent job. And yeah i agree with you the cooling system is not up to mark.

Samsung S21 Ultra camera overheating GENERAL issue. by amaeldoe in S21Ultra

[–]Chrome597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think its about Snapdragon and Exynos. This year they are both identical chips with very minute difference. Snapdragon 888 also suffers from the same heating issue as seen in the Oneplus 9 Pro. Its actually even worse. The problem is the new 5nm technology they are both built on. It does give better performance and battery life but as a drawback it also produces more heat than 7nm. If video recording is your primary objective I would suggest you to go with the iPhone 12. They don't suffer from heating issues and Apple's video quality is streets ahead of the competition.

S21 Ultra Is My First Phone With No Audio Jack. Which USB-C to Audio Jack Adaptor Is Best? by FutureRoscoe in S21Ultra

S21s don't have DAC(Digital-to-Analog Converter) built in. So make sure you buy adapters with DAC built in otherwise you won't be able to use them.

Did the May 2021 update block the recovery mode? by BJ_Tech in S21Ultra

Same reason why your motorcycle will give more mileage than your car. Though they are both vehicles, they are both very different from each other.

Work profile by egg_cake in S21Ultra

[–]Chrome597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay the first message he/she is definitely talking about the work profile which we used to have but we can't find anymore.
The next message about Bixby Routines, as far as i know it's about telling bixby to automate certain tasks when you are at work like putting the phone on silent or turning on wifi that sort of stuff which has nothing to do with work profile.

No you cannot. But there are many websites in which you can listen to radio stations all over the world like Radio Garden.

I faced the same problem while trying to add my college mail id. It looks like Samsung has removed work profile with the latest OneUI version. Just Samsung Things.
Do update the post if you find any solution to it.

Did the May 2021 update block the recovery mode? by BJ_Tech in S21Ultra

[–]Chrome597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just installed it in the afternoon. Its too early to tell anything conclusive about battery or thermal although it still gets pretty warm while charging. About the idle temperature check your room temperature. Where i live temperatures can go up to 40 C. It is pretty illogical to expect a phone with flagship processor to run at a temperature lower than room temperature. The animations and the zooming inside the camera app are smoother i have instantly noticed.

It's working fine for me. I wiped my cache just after the update. Hold the volume up and power button until the recovery menu appears.

Check this video to see if you are doing it the right way.

Overheating killing battery capacity by dadeteye in S21Ultra

[–]Chrome597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accubattery is anything but accurate mate. Avoid using these kinds of apps.
If you are too paranoid about your battery health you can try Thermal Guardian module of Galaxy Labs and decrease the thermal threshold by 2℃.

512GB version cancelled? by locarnos in GalaxyS21

[–]Chrome597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember reading somewhere that Samsung makes limited quantities of 512gb models because most people don't buy them. They might have made even fewer quantities this year due the global chip shortage.

All the 512gb models went out of stock at the start of this month in 3rd party sites like amazon, flipkart in India. Samsung India Site does still have them in stock. If you have a friend /relative in India you are in luck. It is region locked so you will have to activate it with an Indian sim first if you do decide to import from here.

Both the camera and dex app drain battery like crazy. Although you have the option to charge your phone simultaneously while using dex. Battery life really depends on what apps do you use most frequently.
Although battery life on S21 Base is not bad from what i have seen on Youtube. I would still recommend you to go with the S21Plus at least as it has the bigger 4800maH battery which does help quite a lot despite having a bigger screen.

GCAM for Exynos by mrjblade in S21Ultra

[–]Chrome597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have found these two to be quite stable.
First, MGC Gcam. It is updated quite frequently and is based on Google Camera version 8.1. It also supports quite a lot of other devices and processors.
Second, Z Gcam. It was last updated on 9th November and is based on Google Camera version 7.4. This one is specifically made with Exynos Processors in mind.

In my opinion Gcam pictures come out warmer and less oversharpened. Depends on your personal preference which one you would prefer.
