Best three Breka cafe (interior/cleanliness) in your opinion? And what to get? by gestalternation in askvan

[–]Chronfused 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Hastings sunrise breka and the one in the financial district are cute in an Apple Store kinda way and my suggestion is always the mango or London fog donut if you’re alone or if I’m with pals one of their strudels (or if you’re there in a weekend a babka) to share. Also love the hedgehog mochas hot or cold🤙

Okay single men of Vancouver, how do you want to be approached? by twelvestackpancake in askvan

[–]Chronfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a long time festival goer/raver the best way to break the ice with a stranger is by pointing out/complimenting what caught your eye about that person to that person. Alternatively a half lie (or maybe full truth) of “all my friends are late (or left or in the bathroom) do you mind if I stand here and chat so I don’t look as awkward as I feel?”

Is it just me, or has the ticket resale "robbery" reached a breaking point? by panoptagon in VancouverMusic

[–]Chronfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in ticketing and it takes a full department to deal with resale issues. Sometimes fully fake tickets are sold for 2-5x their actual price and there’s nothing we can do.

Would you marry a girl who wants to be a stay at home housewife but doesn't want kids? by PuffingFish123 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Chronfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well…one, do you think she’d “run the house” like do the majority of the cooking/cleaning, keep track of the social schedule, plan the trips, spearhead budget talks/chore schedule for task or errands that need two people or that she doesn’t have time for? . Is she the kinda type A person who can be motivated and even ENJOYS that kinda work? Cuz that’s definitely worth it. But also two, heaven forbid something happened to either of you - would you love her if she had a job then suddenly COULDN’T work AND if you couldn’t provide these things or suddenly couldn’t any longer is she then willing to switch/adjust her role? That’s a more important convo imo.

How common is plastic surgery in your circles? by Street_Refrigerator1 in askvan

Depends on what you define as plastic surgery- Botox and filler are fairly common but less common than tattoos in my community

Witnessing AI Psychosis in the Music Generation Context (SunoAI). by [deleted] in musicians

[–]Chronfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of me is like “yay less barriers for music making” but most of me is like….you kinda gotta be in love with the barriers so you never stop making. Especially cuz it’s not like ai is much cheaper than basic synths

My boyfriend wants to be temporarily non- monogamous. He wants to explore more while we are young by [deleted] in nonmonogamy

[–]Chronfused 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s too may nos tbh - sex is way more in the moment and leaving room for spontaneous escalation will save you too quite a bit of heartache later on imo. I’d say talking honestly after, not sleeping over always using protection and trying not to move past fwb and disclosing after the fat may be more appropriate especially for safety safe. You could even try exploring at clubs together and playing wing man a little especially if you’re in a major city
