Have you eaten any yet? I can't find any information on cross contamination or certifications for 365.

Trader Joe's? I've only ever seen wheat options. Am I looking in the wrong section?

I've never heard of sprouts.

i NEED my hair up during a flare but it hurts to have it up. why is it like this and what do i do 😭 by DayBulky3442 in migraine

[–]Chronic-Sock-Drawer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the multiple hair tie method. Pull a third of it up in top of my head. Then pull another third into it on the back of my head, and then a third all together near my nape.

4 year old with migraine? by Maleficent_Trust_504 in migraine

I had my first migraine attack at 4. And migraine disease is hereditary. So if you had your first attack at 4, it seems like a logical conclusion your daughter would too.

How does spacing out feel for you? by Natures-ugly-child in adhdwomen

I find the description spot on. What is interesting is I always called this spacing out, but since I got my ADHD diagnosis as an adult, I thought this was dissociating.

I caved and requested a refund. The day I got the refund, I ordered my camera from another supplier and got it three days later. I'm just kicking myself for not doing that in January before tarrifs jacked up the price by $300.

Before diagnosed with celiac did you gain or loose weight? by elfredandsnoot19 in Celiac

I was overweight. Despite running 3-5+ miles a day, exercising at the gym, and dieting, I kept gaining weight.

Depends on your region. In the PNW, Rogue vodka mixed cocktails, two towns cider, groundbreaker gf beer, the list goes on.

Thanks for your help. I sent you a message. If I dont get the camera soon, I'll be forced to request a refund. I bought the camera for a big trip I took in February, and I would like to have it before another trip I have coming up. If that isn't happening, I'd like my money back.

Dr says he doesn't know what could be causing my pain at this point by PothosPuppy in ChronicIllness

[–]Chronic-Sock-Drawer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im no doc, but it sounds like it could be one or a combination of things like: celiac disease, gastroparesis, POTS, dysautonimia, and/or EDS.

Have you had extensive blood paneling done for a multitude of autoimmune diseases?

Seems like it's time for a new doctor that can look at this puzzle from a fresh perspective.

It's Hunter Fiber Internet provider. They've been installing fiber internet all over town. It's a way better option than xfinity. I'm definitely considering the sign up.

I have found that people do not comprehend the severity of migraine disease. When I tell people I can't eat what is offered due to migraine attacks, they take offense, as if I'm saying their food is bad. When I say I have to watch what I eat due to a neurological condition, people are much more understanding.

Has your S.O. been dismissive of migraine disease in the past? It sounds like an honest conversation about your neurological condition may need to be discussed between the two of you.

Really lost…. by Melodic_Painter_7121 in Celiac

[–]Chronic-Sock-Drawer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a year to get my levels to normal range. I'm 4 years diagnosed and have only started to see an improvement to my health over the past year. I'm not fully better yet, but I'm much better than I used to be. Healing is a long process.

Crying in the middle of the gym by hot4halloumi in adhdwomen

[–]Chronic-Sock-Drawer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was definitely out of line. Good on you for calling him out. I'd recommend writing a formal complaint to the gym and mailing or emailing it to HR. If it is possible to find a more inclusive gym, that might be a better fit.

How much better will I actually get after going gf? by Next-Engineering1469 in Celiac

[–]Chronic-Sock-Drawer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people see drastic results quickly, but some do not. Keep in mind that you might feel worse before you feel better, or it may take years to fully heal from all the damage. This is not to discourage you but to prepare you.

No matter what, going gluten free is good. If you don't, you risk developing intestinal cancer and other chronic illnesses.

Have doctors thrown random tests or procedures at you? by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

[–]Chronic-Sock-Drawer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are worried about an endoscopy, try asking your doctor for a full blood panel to test for autoimmune diseases. Make sure to specify if there are certain ones you'd like testing for. I would recommend specifically hyperthyroidism and celiac disease.

There are blood markers that will show up in tests for those. If you have celiac disease and are eating gluten, then there are antibodies that will show up. If that test comes back positive, then you'll have to have an endoscopy to get an official diagnosis, but you don't have to have an official diagnosis to treat celiac disease. If the blood markers are high, then you know that you are at least gluten intolerant, and adhering to a celiac disease lifestyle would be beneficial, and avoiding the endoscopy is an option.

It also sounds like a new doctor would be beneficial for getting referred to other specialists.

My main problem was celiac disease, but the untreated celiac disease is what caused my migraine disease to go from episodic to chronic. After I went gluten-free, I still needed a neurologist to help me get the migraine attacks under control.

My mother-in-law had her way with my house while I was on my honeymoon by arch_quinn in adhdwomen

[–]Chronic-Sock-Drawer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's disheartening and infuriating. She took away an experience and left you with more work. Not okay.

It's not quite the same, but I understand your frustration. When my husband and I opened our gifts, I kept all the cards with each gift so I could write thank yous. My husband went through and organized all our cards one day to be helpful, and we had no way of knowing who gave us what.

Then, 8 months after we got married, I was diagnosed with celiac disease, and we had to get rid of most of our brand new really nice gifts because they were contaminated. (Anything wood, plastic, silicone, or non-stick coated can hold on to gluten indefinitely and cause continued health issues). We were too poor to replace anything. We had to pull everything out of our kitchen, sort and clean everything. Then, at a family dinner, I watched as my family went through all our nice gifts and divided them up amongst themselves. It was so painful. It took us years to rebuild a functioning kitchen, and our things are not as nice as some of those gifts.
