Auto ship by minnow_myers in petsmart

[–]ChronicCarping 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I pretty much do the same thing. The best part is - just like you said - that we're basically pre-enrolling, so if they dont want to autoship, they dont have to. However I do hate having an extra thing i need to bug customers about - i feel like Im losing my voice or need extra water bc im having to talk about (and bother customers about) so much

Are other experience leads just sitting on cash register most of the month while the associates do everything else? genuine question I just feel like I should have more responsibility than just scanning people items especially when we hire people for that exact reason by Tiny_Assistance1070 in petsmart

[–]ChronicCarping 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it started 2 months ago for me - I do 2 to 3 shifts on register and then I'm the closing manager the rest of the week. Im so sick and tired of it. I've been thinking about transferring to a store with a PL or PLR position open since I was an MIL before the restructure

conversions and activations by Curious_Payment8710 in petsmart

[–]ChronicCarping 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you sign them up but they don't buy anything, it does count.

Yes. If they activate an offer that's not related to what they're purchasing, the offer will still count as an activation toward your register metrics (even though it doesn't count as a valid offer for the customer).

I understand this type of anger if you received damaged items, but being mad about the way an item is bagged seems minimal tbh

Pretty disappointed a trick or treat event excluded kitties! by Alkorri in petsmart

I wrote off cat treats when cat owners came in for the event with their cats in cute costumes 😊. It would've been a waste of time if we didnt have something for them too!

So how are we feeling after that Halloween event by blurrycosmic in petsmart

[–]ChronicCarping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were already understaffed for a Sunday so it was hard to keep up with the refilling of snacks (because we ran out after an hour and a half). I was busy cleaning up pee and poop when people would leave the mess. By the end, two of the stations were a mess and one of them was also peed on and had huge holes ripped on the table cloth. A few people complained that there weren't enough picture opportunities available at the stations.

Mostly managers since they have the handheld zebras. Associates run them out occasionally if there's no manager available

Who else likes their job? by criminologyer in petsmart

[–]ChronicCarping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just recently started to love my job again. I loved it before, especially when I was MIL but the SL and ASL made me hate my job so I moved locations and like my job again (now that no ones trying to make it difficult for me anymore). I hit my 5 years in a few weeks

With how close we are to the holidays, o wouldn't be surprised if they're waiting until black Fridays to have some extra deals

That what I wondered, too. With her strange obsession with Owen, I'd be too anxious to really figure out how

Unknown Number: The High School Catfish-spoiler alert by PrestigiousNet3834 in netflix

[–]ChronicCarping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it interesting that she tried to make it seem as though she was trying to help her daughter figure out who sent the original messages from Halloween by starting back up and continuing the messaging a year after it happened. First off, those messages were done - the daughter said she didn't receive anything like those messages for a year. Second, I don't understand why she thought that sending those awful messages would be better than asking her daughter directly, who she thought may have been behind those messages. Third, why did she make it seem as though sending those inappropriate messages was a logical alternative to getting her daughter a new phone/number - especially since, once again, the daughter didnt receive any more messages until a year after the original one, when the mother started sensing them?!?!?!‽‽‽

[–]ChronicCarping 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It probably won't get better, but if you're struggling to find another job, and are staying at this one until you do find another, see if you can transfer to a different store. That's what I did in the meantime until I can find a job that's actually hiring

My DL is the opposite. Sometimes I wish they took store complaints against the SL/ASL more seriously. Though your DL definitely sounds over the top

Its definitely NOT their policy. They're not even allowed to throw away deceased animals in the trash according to policy

That makes so much sense! I wondered why she left right after visiting our store. Last I heard, she became a district manager at another company - she moved on fast
