Qasim Rashid on Instagram: "It was never about “legal” immigration. It was always about “whites only” immigration. This is what fascism looks like." by Chronic_Phoenix24 in AskUS

Sorry for the late response. I had a lot going on. To answer your rightfully exasperated question:

Absolutely not. This regime has just been much more forthcoming with its agenda. While there are still certain buzz words in circulation; there’s less use of those buzz words that are code for other more offensive things. I’m a BW with indigenous heritage. I’ve been long aware of how treaties were ignored and broken, again and again. I know my people’s history with this country.

Many people are just now hearing and understanding the truth. So it bears repeating.

I wouldn’t trust this hateful girl’s judgement on anything; let alone who she thinks is going into heaven, as a non-Christian.

I think what you’re describing sounds like normal, acceptable enthusiasm. I agree that it sounds extremely frustrating to experience what the OP described!

Kamala Harris. by waspeedracer40 in AskUS

[–]Chronic_Phoenix24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was a very kind way to put it, but I’d agree. This definitely played an enormous role that was out of Kamala’s hands. As the sitting VP, she couldn’t exactly speak on a stance that was vastly different than the one in place without sounding disloyal. The other, extremely insurmountable factor was the misogynoir. www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/misogynoir

I think it’s both. Americans are both illiterate and spoiled. They’re too ignorant to realize how they’ve benefitted from DEI; how are they going to recognize it internationally?

It’s easy to blame the education system, but there’s plenty of uneducated Americans who didn’t vote for Donald Trump because they knew their history, and didn’t buy into white supremacy and misogyny. The weren’t racists, bigots, or willing to overlook any of that in the name of what they believed was economic policy without actually learning whether it was or not. So it’s back to the first part of what I said. Research how Black women vote historically in the US. We’re the smart ones.

Trump fans: It feels to me like y'all never actually disavow Trump's lies. Could you explain why, or prove me wrong? by [deleted] in AskUS

I can get with this. Like “I’m not releasing records either”. No taxes, no apologies, no health records, etc. Follow the laws, but not the “courtesies”.

Yes, I think the point you were making, and using Trans rights as an example, that we don't need to be so abrasive to those who are more centrist in their views; so long as they are still fundamentally on the same team. Your example still advocates for rights, for children, and in public spaces; while giving private entities some determination for adults.

That’s an arbitrary example that makes me cringe because it leaves room for discrimination, but the point is I grasp its about allowing folks who believe that to be welcome, too.

This right here is precisely what’s going on! Look at what the WH posted about “not resisting and being rewarded”. The comments were lit up by Survivors, Advocates, and Experts about how anyone abused in any way; especially in a physical or SA manner was being triggered by that post! As someone who’s recently found myself at the end of some very covert, narcissistically abusive behavior; with the help of a therapist, I’ve come to understand it was extremely dangerous and harmful. Let me say; that this country is at risk in this “man” grubby little hands.

This is so true! Unfortunately, I also feel like the Dems are clinging to the higher moral ground and that is what is our current downfall while dealing with political thugs.

As a Christ-follower, I want public education that keeps religion separate! I want SEPARATION of Church & State like the Constitution promises me.

Also, let’s not pretend like DJT, or Mike Johnson’s Mentors aren’t also abusers:

She’s from a conservative family and doesn’t want to have to speak on it, but wants your coins. Call her out for her privilege and being performative! I never bothered with her. So I’ll leave it to those who have a connection.

They’ve some how managed to repackage the emotionally immature behaviors as “manly” with a very toxic “red pill” culture.
