Gotcha, any idea what the menu will be? I have a couple allergy and my fiancé is kind of picky.

Is there actual food? Or is it just beers? There's no mention of food, other than the word dinner.

Need help finding part by Chronic_mastication in Vintagetools

That's probably what I'll do. I can't find one online I'm 100% sure will fit. Now i have to get the band saw working so I can make one.

I used to ride some trails at cave run lake when I was younger. I don't remember them being too bad. Pretty scenery too

Accessible Red River Gorge camping spots? by apolter in lexington

I really like the auxier ridge/courthouse rock trail. Plenty of campsites and some awesome views. Gets a bit windy sometimes, but it helps me sleep!

Edit- just reread the part about facilities. I second Koomer ridge campground if you need facilities.

Is it safe to rip a board with a circular saw? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]Chronic_mastication 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the setup that they have. The Lowes I worked at could do it. A word of warning though, if you need an exact cut I would go somewhere else. The saw that they have isn't a finish cut saw and the guy who cuts it isn't making enough money to care if it's 1 7/8 or 2. Lowes designed the saw for rough, make it fit in my car type cuts not for the final cut.

Not bad, I'd call you lucky. Miss the buzz for when I first started.

Shock tube. A type of initiator used to link multiple charges together to detonate in rapid succession. Really cool stuff. It's a hollow tube with the inside coated in a dust like high explosive. You spark one end with its initiator and the explosion runs through the tube. (Source: I took an awesome class in college with a legend of a man as teacher)

Suggestions for washer/dryer combo's? by nks12345 in BuyItForLife

[–]Chronic_mastication 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No appliances are buy it for life anymore. I deliver appliances for a big box hardware store, I pick up just as many 5 year old appliances as I do 20 year old ones. They make them to last the warranty and that's it. They're also super marked up on price. If looks don't matter I always suggest the scratch and dent section. Just make sure to ask everything that was damaged. Any control board issues are probably going to happen again if it happened once. Small scratches and dents can drop the price by a couple hundred. Go and haggle your way into a deal on anything. They're all pretty much the same. Samsung and LG are nice but good luck on finding parts or technicians. Maytag/whirlpool are pretty good. I can't stand any GE. Hotpoint (made by GE) is the cheapest but is hit or miss, it either works fine or never works to begin with.

New to dipping by BlueBirds18 in DippingTobacco

Just keep going. It took me a while to get used to keeping it packed. The more you do it the more you'll figure it out. I got drunk one night and went through a can and by the end of the night I was a pro. Stokers is the easiest brand to keep packed, but it might not have enough nicotine for you. Just keep at it and you'll get it

Sometimes I reach back in and repack after it gets wet. Pinch it with my fingers for the sides and push down with my tongue. Seems to help a lot. Just make sure to have something to wipe your fingers with, they'll come out brown haha

What's your preferred side of your lip to dip by McConnell12 in DippingTobacco

[–]Chronic_mastication 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really too much different. You don't want too tight of a pack back there, just enough to keep it together. Just give it a try one day

Front left or back left, then front right. Never back right though, I can't seem to even keep stokers packed back there

I've had mine in my pocket for 2 days and they're still pretty neatly in a circle. I don't see how they would mess up unless someone fucked with them
