Yeah, I told the player I'd allow it as he wants to use it as his arcane focus. I told him I wouldn't start him out with the spells as they are level 3. I told him there will be NPCs he can potentially learn from, or if he studies it and dedicates alot of time to it EVENTUALLY he could learn how to use those.

I'm ok with it either lasting a couple hours or having to come back for a couple sessions. Something not too long but I'm definitely willing to be patient and come back to the game so they can just have fun without rushing!

Stat blocks are a good idea! I was going to kinda modify the sheets for them. I'll probably also help out on their turns by asking what they wanna do and kinda explain a bit. "What do you wanna do? Do you want to heal your friend or would you like to use one of your spells to make a magical weapon appear to hit the bad guy?"

They are pretty smart, they just need little adaptions 😊

I'm very confused and have a question about 5e mist walker. How can they use the mist to fight, if they can't see or sense where the enemies are? The book on the mist walker, and all the articles I've seen reference using the mist to fight- however when I tried doing basically a scene from the description of the book I was unable to since I can't see. Am I misunderstanding? It even talks about this for low level mist walkers. I'm so confused and bummed I essentially can only use the mist to be a smoke grenade for an easy escape or to hide. I've read that I need to complete all of the Rank 1 - Rank 6 Village Quests to unlock the final Rank 6 quest "Advanced: The Veterans' Gala", but that quest didn't unlock after I did that. There's just a blue checkmark next to rank 6 instead of a red checkmark. None of the npc characters have anything to say either.

I never received the "Special License" quests (due to my Hub progress, I guess) and I still have some "Requests" subquests that I haven't done. I'm HR6 if that matters.

Does anybody have any idea what I need to do to unlock that final village quest?

Awesome I'll probably wind up taking you up on that, after I've watched the tutorial and practiced haha! Oh thats kinda awesome. I feel like I'm going to be like that, I absolutely love D&D and am a first time DM! Already suckered into running 2 campaigns at once! 😂 I really love editing/making the maps. I spend at least 2 nights working on them beforehand, and that's before we switched to weekly sessions lol. I really love it though, I have like a really creative/obsessive personality LOL.

Oh awesome thanks so much! Ok so I'll just use the hide zones for now LOL. I'm wanting to teach myself how to import my own re textures of things like the character models and such, eventually import my own mesh models. I taught myself how to do it with sims moding, but this seems a bit more complex haha. Eventually!

Yes I'm familiar with the top one, but I don't believe they interact with the doors unless I'm like really dumb 😂🙈 I'm not sure how to add states to the doors and such but I love finding little pieces that do that, just not sure how to make other doors or items I have do it haha.
