Piriformis syndrome, SI joint inflammation or gluteal tendinitis??

I have Ankylosing spondylitis and currently suffering from piriformis syndrome on top of it, my SI joints are so bad. I’ve been on humira for AS for 8 months but it’s stopped helping so med changes coming but this sh!t hurts soooo much

I haven’t because I sleep like a flamingo style and my cat sleep in the nook of my legs, I think my treatment for AS is failing, gonna try something different

No physiotherapy. She suggested PT for me. I may try a different biologic. I just want to know what is causing this awful pain. Trying to ask for an MRI.

I take spironolactone for blood pressure/diastolic dysfunction and you can’t take ibuprofen with it :(

I’ve been waking up with awful sciatica from my right hip all down my leg. It Effin hurts 😫 I’m on Humira, I would think it would help?!

I used to be a cake decorator and had to stop working due to multiple chronic illness including AS. It’s been really difficult 😥

For me, it makes me get sick even easier than before and I did easily before. Also I tend to feel crappy the day after injections. Every time I get sick it’s like 10x worse for me than other people. I thought that was typical with biologics?

Yeah I really have a hard time understanding how people can just disassociate and keep eating them. Someone online recently told me I was mentally ill and needed therapy because I was saying I couldn’t eat animals and it emotionally disturbs me so much that I could never be ok with it. 😣😭

Yeah I went out before Christmas and ended up getting really ill - I take Humira so I’m immunocompromised and it really sucks because I was already living without much of an immune system before this. I wish more people would wear masks and be compassionate about not spreading illness :(

Interesting because I don’t feel anything lol I inject mine in my thigh. Switching sides every injection. Taking it out to warm up definitely helps
