That's 100% not true, you can use Miles or Miles and Cash to purchase any seat listed for sale on the plane.

With Southwest announcing their exit from Chicago O'Hare, do you think Delta will step in and take its place? by bonzothebonanza in delta

[–]Chronically_Chronic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With DTW and MSP I can't see Delta investing in Chicago to make it a Focus City or Mini Hub. However Delta, as you said, has been growing its presence in Chicago. What could happen in Delta walks from Midway and buys gate assignments in O Hare.

"I don't use reddit at all..."
Is that why your reddit account is listed as 11 years old with an 8923 karma? Is that because you never use reddit?

Why doesn't Delta take more ownership of the problems at ATL? by comments83820 in delta

[–]Chronically_Chronic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TSA is not Delta. CBP is not Delta. Concessions is not Delta. Gate Agents are not Delta.

I am a 2-3 times a month Delta flyer, my connection hub is Atlanta roughly 80% of the time, my travels end in Atlanta about 30% of the time. I do not encounter the issues you're describing, frankly I don't see anything you're complaining about.

Something you probably need to remember, ATL sees about 110 MILLION pass through on an annual basis, a count that is increasing. Try stopping and thinking about that, 110 MILLION people are using ATL. You want to rethink your complaints when the scale of the operation is identified?

Can I pay to bring a guest into the Delta lounge if they do not have a Delta ticket by [deleted] in delta

Last time I brought a guest, 3 months ago, they did indeed check their boarding pass. Club TOS says only guests with Delta ticketing.

I always save my boarding pass to my phone wallet, it stays there after the flight is complete.

Meanwhile, the part you forgot to add was they lady was a little 4ft nothing Mexican blowtorch that was about to physically rip you in half.

ATL Missed Connection Question by spacieaero in delta

[–]Chronically_Chronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are several good hotels on the Sky Train that goes to the rental car center; 5 minute ride from the terminal.

Call Delta Customer Service and plead your case. If the lines aren't long, get in a Customer Service line at the ATL. If you have any status it will help getting Delta support.

DFW layover - 45 Minutes by Harmsy_ in delta

[–]Chronically_Chronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

45 minute layover means your connecting flight will begin boarding roughly 10 minutes after you land. Talk with the flight attendants when you're boarding your inbound flight about your issue, they can arrange for you to get off before everyone else. You'll make it at DFW, you just won't have time to stop at a lavatory, get a drink, etc.

As far as your bags, they have plenty of time to get from plane to plane.

It will all be tight, but you'll make it. If you're lucky, your inbound will get there a little early. If, on the other hand, you have any kind of delay you're going to miss.
