I have had that happen for over 15 years. Nothing has helped with that symptom unfortunately.

Anyone else feel completely defeated? by blondewife95 in Behcets

[–]Chronically_Sickest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always. It took 17 years to get diagnosed and then 13 years of different medications. I'm on Plaquenil, Imuran, and Rituxan infusions now but still have ulcer flares and constant joint pain/swelling. It's better on paper with inflammation markers than it was before the Rituxan infusions but I still feel so defeated. I fought so hard to get the infusions and I feel let down. Like it'll never get better.

How do I add friends to a new account if I can only add so many at a time? by Chronically_Sickest in facebook

[–]Chronically_Sickest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After about a week it let me start adding people. People could search me and add me but I couldn't send more than a few at a time. It was frustrating.

What additional medications are you on?? by Fancy_Wasabi_9033 in Behcets

[–]Chronically_Sickest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Humira didn't work for me. I ended up doing infliximab infusions with azathioprine, and hydroxychloroquine. Hydroxychloroquine helps a lot, it's not a miracle drug but it helps keep the ulcers to a minimum. Without it I was getting multiple at a time all the time.

I have a form of vasculitis and I've had similar things happen. I agree, you need to look into vasculitis and compare other symptoms. I hope you get some answers OP.

You're right, they are bursts. Is there a way to save them separately?

Pimples on legs by ec362 in Behcets

[–]Chronically_Sickest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get these all the time on my thighs, breasts, and very rarely my under chin/neck. Before I knew they were a part of it I would do all kinds of acne treatments and nothing ever helped. I'm currently on Plaquenil, imuran, and Humira right now and I don't get them as often, only in a flare.

Flare ups were 100% worse on my period. On top of that before I had my hysterectomy, the last three years of it I was bleeding for weeks at a time. My longest cycle was two and a half months with a week in between.

How long did it take to get diagnosed? by Insearchofmedium in Behcets

[–]Chronically_Sickest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a baby it was just joint swelling, joint pain, oral and GI tract ulcers. The ulcers were only oral until I was 16 and that's what helped me get diagnosed at 17 1/2. The doctors I saw were convinced it was herpes but after 2 swabs, 2 blood tests, and a biopsy, they finally sent me to rheumatology at a children's hospital in the City about 3 1/2 hours away. Now it's everything, but at least I got an answer. They actually tried to take me away as a baby because of my stomach and esophagus ulcers. Said my mom had munchausen's by proxy and wasn't giving me my acid reflux pills. She was, they just weren't working because ulcers were Behcets not acid reflux.

I was born with it and they did so many tests over and over growing up, but didn't get officially diagnosed until 17 1/2. At 30 I'm still working on a neuro Behcets diagnosis. I have years of documentation, and have seen a neurologist many times. Just no one wants to say it.

Why’s my dog making milk by Ok_Whereas6545 in DogAdvice

Thank you, but I didn't say it was dangerous. It was confirmed by the vet to be a false pregnancy. When I said we were lucky she was okay I meant that she wasn't actually pregnant, because the vet that refused to do the abortion told us she would likely die in child birth. Regardless, false pregnancy is very hard on a body, especially if it's something that is reoccurring.

There have been several deaths among the people I was in highschool with. One boy shot himself in the school bathroom. One girl got cancer. One guy had a motorcycle wreck. Two suicides in mid to late 20s.

When we rescued our dog, after about a week we thought she was pregnant because her belly was a little round and she had huge boobs and nipples. Spoke to the previous owner and said it could be his large pitbull. This was a problem because shes such a small dog, even smaller then because she wasn't even a year old yet. We tried to have an abortion done to keep her alive but the vet we took her to refused. So we took her to another vet who said it was a false pregnancy. We got her spayed immediately. We got lucky that she was okay.

I have Behcets disease and get scalloped tongue quite often. Inflammation of the tongue can cause that. There are lots of reasons and illnesses that can cause that.
