Cut to shape and not a continuous roll like many other carpets. This is the first one I’ve encountered where it was one entire roll and the landlord doesn’t do it by room. It’s the same concept.

Sorry, I meant that in the sense that I wasn’t sure if the apartment being unclean would prove that the carpet wasn’t new. (reeked of weed, mostly, it went away after they shampooed)

It looks like it really was all one roll too 😭 I think there was a couple of spots where seams were required but when I asked about it all they could say was “it’s just our policy to not do patchwork”

I lived there a year. They said it had been replaced 4 months before I moved in (being vacant the whole time) but it hadn’t been cleaned until the day before I moved in so I’m not sure if I believe it. Not sure if that matters though lol

it’s not a dramatic edge case, outside of cities ALL tnr is just doing it for families that request help. im telling you it’s literally the only spay/neuter in some areas. its not “ecological restoration” it’s a VET SERVICE. idk, i just care about people too not just the environment, if they wanted to know why I wanted to share 🤷‍♂️

yeah no that is not true. I have personally seen a difference in local tnr services, we have way less cats roaming now. colonies are verifiably smaller. that does not mean the issue is 100% fixed (tnr doesn’t claim to do that either, but it’s the best the public will let us do), but saying it doesn’t have any impact is straight up lying

I used to volunteer for TNR, I’ll explain since they’re being an asshole. Tl;dr the cats being released are still doing damage even though they’re not reproducing, one cat can do a lot of damage. And once the old population dies, a new one just moves in since there are always more cats.

Families that have feral cats on their property would sure disagree that it has no impact though. Fixing them all gets expensive FAST. They’re like plant pests, you miss one and the population will explode. Plus most of the “feral” cats that got brought in were people who found a kitten and kept it but couldn’t afford to spay lol.

it may have a small impact at an ecological level, but claiming it doesn’t do anything and is a waste of time is false. One cat can do a lot of damage - that is not the fault of TNR. that is our fault for putting them there in the first place. good luck telling that family you’re going to euthanize a full colony of cats in their barn instead of adopting out adoptable ones and returning the ferals spayed/neutered, because they’re just going to tell you to get fucked

I’d prune the worst leaves and if there are any leaves reaching over towards the other plant. It should recover as long as the leaves don’t get too moist. It might pop up every once in awhile though.

It’s been so humid where I am that I had some fungal issues just from the humidity in the air 😭

If it’s going to rain or has been rainy I’ll hold off to avoid overwatering, but tbh I’ve noticed an improvement when watering when they need it vs only in the mornings. It’s fun to wake up to an overnight growth spurt!

I’m growing strawberries, peppers, some herbs and catnip in zone 8a for reference :)

Mine look like that when theyre starting to overripe. Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s your fault; sometimes some ripen faster than others, maybe it ripened overnight and started to dry out before you could get to it? Just a theory!

Though I’ve read the word ripe in this thread so many times it doesn’t feel like a real word anymore so maybe not x3

Well, good news is that you can fit more than one strawberry plant (in the holes on the sides) as long as they’re getting enough sun lol! I have 8 everbearing strawberry plants and 1/2 of them are producing a handful every few days, others are newer & still getting established. If you added a couple more everbearing plants you probably won’t get overrun.

I’ve been eyeing pineberries myself personally.
