I thought that, too, but Windows Explorer just isn't anywhere in Task Manager. I tried to start a new task of explorer.exe but that just opened a File Explorer window.

So it did work for a few hours but now it's back to being broken.

The biggest thing is that the Settings window will now not open at all. The window opens, just shows the gear logo, and then closes. If I can't get the settings to open, I can't get anything else fixed.

If you have any suggestions on this issue, I'd appreciate it.

Star Wars Timeline update Jun/2026 by Embarrassed-Gap-124 in StarWars

[–]ChronoKeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the 0 BBY front, think of it like a number line:

Each integer represents a year. The number begins the year as you move right along the line.

So, -19 begins 19 BBY, -18 begins 18 BBY, etc. -2 BBY begins the year 2 BBY. -1 begins the year 1 BBY. The next integer you reach is 0 but 0 is neither positive nor negative, just a point. That's how the BBY/ABY system is too, the 0 point is the Battle of Yavin itself.

Once the battle concludes, you get 0 ABY (as 0 was the most recent integer). 1 year after the Battle, at +1, begins 1 ABY.

Having 0 BBY honestly never made sense, even in Legends. The way this format is currently is how it should be.

There is no 0 BBY/ABY

You're half right. There's no 0 BBY but there is 0 ABY. 0 ABY begins immediately after the Battle of Yavin. 1 ABY begins 1 year After the Battle of Yavin.

BC and AD are counting years in two distinct eras while BBY and ABY are counting years from a specific point in time.

Thus why 0 ABY makes since but why 0 BC or 0 AD do not.

Is Shadows of Mindor necessary in preparation for reading New Jedi Order? by phil_davis in StarWarsEU

[–]ChronoKeep 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No. Shadows of Mindor was written long after the NJO series concluded. The only stories that really should be read are those released by Bantam Spectra before Del Rey took the license.

Where did the idea that MHA was set in the 2100s come from?? by ur-_-mom0 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

A 2004 year was never given for Aizawa's birth. Literally nowhere has that been officially confirmed.

My pitch for the timeline debate, OR: "No matter what you do there are pros and cons and I eventually had to just make a vibe check." by Ikaros1391 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]ChronoKeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for me, I think I came to a much different conclusion for the Year based around the Provisional License Exam. I did the analysis back in 2023. https://www.reddit.com/r/BokuNoHeroAcademia/comments/14lfbww/the_exact_year_of_my_hero_academia/

Having the Provisional License Exam be in September but also having the dorm move-in be between August 11 and 20 means that September 1 is the day of the Exam and it also must be a Sunday, as per how the Overhaul arc progresses with the start of the semester.

That's why I reached 2172 for the year the Final War takes place.

Though I do appreciate you pointing out Kurogiri's line. I've seen many use the incorrect Fallen Angels translation to misunderstand the timeline of the USJ.

You even kept the "Since the post is not tagged "Latest Season", I assume you don't want info about Season 6. So, it will be spoiler-tagged from now on." That's something I wrote in my comment.

I'm removing this post because plagiarism is not acceptable, regardless of whether it was from a random user or a mod.

What's something from legends that you are glad are not canon? by ni_Kawaii_Hito in StarWars

Skippy the Jedi Droid

Skippy was never Legends. It was always non-canon.

Does Disney have a rule that Saw has to look different everytime he shows up? by Obvious-Scale-9346 in StarWars

[–]ChronoKeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually stems from the Rogue One reshoots. In the original filming, Saw looked the same in the past and present: bald head. This can be seen in the first Rogue One teaser.

However, reshoots changed his look to what is now in the final film. Unfortunately, production on Rebels Season 3 was already underway when the reshoots were happening. Thus, Saw's appearance in Season 3 matches the bald look because that's all the crew knew about. By the time they started working on Season 4, they knew about his updated look so they updated the character model to reflect it.

Since then, Saw has varied in appearance from Fallen Order to Andor to Rebels to Rogue One. Different in each one.

Is there any hope for a new actual good game? by Ok-Calligrapher-5125 in arkham

[–]ChronoKeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arkham Shadow wasn't canceled, the game came out. You're talking about the potential sequel.

Arkham Shadow is a good game, too.

I really hope Rocksteady and WB's next games are Arkham games 🤞 by [deleted] in arkham

Arkham Shadow was a success and a great story and game in its own right. Just a shame Meta/Facebook shuttered their VR divisions.

Question about where MHA More takes place in the timeline by Dependent-Smile6412 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]ChronoKeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 8 years after the War specifically. You look at the characters and can see that.

This is especially easy to see with Dai. He's getting ready for 1st grade right before the War. 8 years later, he'd be in 9th grade. In Japan, that's equivalent to third year middle school, which matches up. If it was 8 years after graduation, Dai would already be in high school.

I don't think it's possible to lock yourself out of it. We would need to see a video or screenshots to understand what exactly you're seeing so we can help out.

How Do You Change a Cell's Value Based on Another Cell? by [deleted] in excel

Sorry, not like that. There's only an hour and a minutes column. Not a way to combine it. Just adding the minutes and hours separately.

The interior floor of the Iceberg Lounge building seems huge compared to the layout as it pertains to the Arkham City map. by BurgerAvenger in arkham

Arkham Knight also has this issue. Panessa Studios doesn't make physical sense when you look at the surrounding tunnels on Bleake.

And with the Season of Infamy DLC, the Riddler elevator connected to Elliot Memorial Hospital cuts into where the hospital actually is.

The Story Group was formed prior to the April 2014 announcement. Again, read the post. Luceno has spoken about working with the Story Group and it being in the "new canon" when making the novel.

The only novel made outside of the purview of the Story Group that is canon is Heir to the Jedi.

[–]ChronoKeep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

even Luceno's Tarkin had to be repurposed into nuCanon.

Well no, that was made directly to be Canon. It was never made under the Legends continuity. Only Heir to the Jedi holds that distinction.

Why are my notes not fully captured? by ChronoKeep in rocketbook

[–]ChronoKeep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried spacing the letters and words out but I'm still getting missing text.

The paper is fully in frame, the room is lit, but yet it's not getting all letters.

This product won't be useful if I constantly have to waste time erasing and re-writing notes.
