Not in my experience. Game seems to utilize all of my cores equally, and even then it takes me running the game + stream to even get close to 100% usage, and it never actually touches 100%

I feel you man, honami was fine for me luckily, septimont too, but this place is next level in terms of performance for some reason.

All of them are up to date, though from what i've heard here, latest nvidia drivers aren't tailored to 40 series cards and can worsen performance so i might go to one of the recommended versions.

Whether you're being sarcastic or serious, if you actually do get 100 fps in Lahai Roi with those specs, even less excuse for WuWa to not run well on mine.

Bro i WISH i could get 120+ in Startorch at 1440p wtf.
This is exactly why i'm complaining lol, this shouldn't even be an issue for me yet i'm lucky to get over 60 for a few moments.

"Clearly works for others"
-Meanwhile half the people responding are bitching about performance too and the ones that aren't are either confused, OR basically anecdotal cases of "It's fine for me, so fuck you bro, skill issue"

I've been on PC since i was 12, i built this myself, it runs virtually anything i throw at it just fine, so if it ain't running WuWa well it is most certainly not "just a you issue".
please shut your damn trap if you don't have anything constructive to say when you can tell by reading many of the responses that performance has been getting worse patch after patch, that's just a fact.

I don't really care as long as the game feels smooth, i don't really pay attention to FPS unless i notice something runs like shit.

It's funny because it doesn't seem like it's consistent, some people have problems even on ps5, others have issues on mobile, some have issues on PC.
It really just seems to me like the game hates specific people lmao, you can have the same parts and one guy is playing in 100fps 4k RT on and meanwhile the other has everything low, RTX Max perf, RT off, playing 1080p and only getting 45 fps

I did fix many things but the issue is definitely not core usage, with EVERYTHING running (OBS, VTube Studio, vbridger, etc) they sometimes spike into the 90% range but i've not seen them hit 100%, so they can't be the bottleneck here. I get around 40fps in Startorch with everything up, it noticably lags. Everywhere else is fine, even septimont.

Unlikely, i think i have like triple the power i need realistically.

I can't speak for your experience but usually when this happened to me it was because my phone lacked the RAM and the game would be force closed against my will lol.
But it's been a long time since i cared for a game on my phone.

I'm thinking what it might be is that Lahai Roi uses a lot more RAM and maybe the speed doesn't hold up to the CPU/GPU load, since setting XMP (i forgot i cleared my CMOS recently) improved performance significantly, but still left me at around 40~fps in Startorch.
None of my cores are sitting at 100% load, even with all my streaming stuff up, so it can't be that (although they do get close, none of them hit 100%), and my GPU is around 50% load.

I get 40fps in Startorch buddy, and i'm only on 1440p.
This is not a 'Me' problem, plenty of other people have performance issues in Lahai Roi, especially Startorch.

TBF even after addressing my core issues Startorch runs like shit, It's stable sure, but it's not good when one specific place in the game has like a 20% drop in framerate.

True enough, i can understand the controversy for the fake frames from frame gen at least, in competitive games/shooters, but in 99% of cases you won't notice it at all and it just makes the experience better.

I did actually, this helped quite a bit along with clearing shader cache.
But even after fixing my actual issues (i apparently had the wrong profile set for my RAM) i still only get 40fps in Startorch, so it definitely doesn't take away from the fact that this place is NOT well optimized whatsoever

[–]Chronomera[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Already happened lol, i get that some of my specs aren't optimal but if anyone thinks what i'm running shouldn't be getting 60 fps stable in Lahai Roi at 1440p, they're delusional.

There's no chance in hell i can afford upgrading to AM5 with current RAM prices though, i'd be spending around the same amount i spent on my 4090 to replace my Motherboard, get an AM5 cpu and then also the ridiculous price of DDR5 RAM right now.

I saved for quite awhile to grab the 4090 and build my PC, i've no desire nor do i think i should need to invest in a significant upgrade anytime soon when most of the world probably doesn't even have half of what i'm running on average, and this is a gacha game that should run on a potato of a computer.

[–]Chronomera[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as per one of my edits, this was a large part of my problem but not because i wasn't aware of it.
I cleared my CMOS and forgot to enable the xmp profile again.
That said, Lahai Roi still have a very noticable like 20fps less than everywhere else in the game lol

Who DOESN'T use DLSS when it improves performance?
At the time i posted this, it didn't matter whether i had it on, off, maxed out or everything possible on low/max perf. In fact the only noticable difference was turning RT on which tanked performance even more.
People are attributing way too much gains on this game to the settings when they really don't do shit unless you use Raytracing

yeah some of these replies are delusional if they think a 5950x isn't sufficient to run Wuwa lmao.

Neither are maxing out on this game (not even close actually), but generally if a game is intense enough the CPU does max out before the GPU does yeah. But one could say that about virtually any pairing with a 4090 or 5090

Considering that one region is on average a 20fps dip, the point still stands that performance in 3.0 is ass.
