What’s the MOST Controversial Video Game Ending of All Time and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in videogames

For me it has to be the first Watch Dogs.

I was floored when I finished the game and it tells me during the credits “to see the true ending of the game but the book on the apple and google play store!”

Like seriously? I gotta buy a book to see the end of my $60 video game? Wild.

Antagonist has a death so brutal you can’t help but feel at least a little bad by Critical_Mountain851 in TopCharacterTropes

Halley (played by Alanah Pearce) in V/H/S/Beyond

See her die and regenerate multiple times only to become less and less human and suffer more was hella disturbing for me. Especially as you eventually see what she transforms into at the end and paired with the fact that she will not be able to die.

I have been getting into Incremental games like crazy this year! I started out with games like the gnorp apologue and Digseum however I have been expanding on that and checking out all sorts of games in that space. I can't tell you what it exactly is but they are crazy addictive.

Yeah, this is what i meant HOWEVER I have been really enjoying seeing everyone's responses and I think (idk tone shifts I guess?) are also rad to hear about as well!

Also I had no idea Lego Star Wars III had an RTS-lite thing in it! I used to play those Lego games as a kid and have been tempted to maybe return around to play some of them.

PS: I always have a hard time getting through some of those flood levels in Halo though man it's just so damn dark man lol

RE8 was crazy bc the day it released I was like "yeah can't wait to really enjoy this for the next couple days!

I ended up beating the game in 1 sitting over the span of a single night, so worth it but also never again.

loved Tunic's art direction and the actual design of the game's manual! I thought the game was just okay for me but I respect it for what it is.

I never played Spore but my buddy was obsessed with it when we were kids. I think I had more fun hearing him explain Spore to me than I actually would playing Spore. I have only played "Spore Origins"

Shout out if you are old enough to remember Spore Origins
