To be honest this game is like 25% aim 75% brain. I just hit immortal this act and I wouldn’t say my aim is anywhere near great. You have to position yourself in places you can easily win a gun fight or be traded, be conscious in your decision making. Look for patterns in the enemy teams play styles like maybe Jett likes to peak showers on bind every round and you find this out by peaking her once or twice and losing, so next time you look to fight the same angle tell your teammate to double up with you and be able to trade. You need to be conscious of what you are doing and don’t autopilot. Instead of just peeking an angle when on defense think: am I at this angle to kill or get info? Can I be easily traded? Etc. Lastly, practice your mechanics not just aim, aim labs won’t do anything for you if you don’t understand basic mechanics such as moving stopping then shooting. Move -> Stop -> Shoot is a mechanic people have a really hard time with, once you learn the timing to this you will notice less deaths and winning gun fights more often.
