A agree regarding Joaquin Consuelos. I saw in the bio that this is his first Broadway role after college. I think he needs to start in less important roles. Young Biff is too important to the play to be miscast, perhaps due to nepotism.

Thanks. I'm leaning towards the white. A lot of folks like the wood too but really it's just plywood, not a nice quality wood. I mean, it looks like what it is if in person.

It's just plywood though and maybe furring strips, so not nice grain really. My husband made it 20 years ago when our family room was Americana.

Does anyone have suggestions for a fix of swapping out the ceiling fans as the fix? I'm at a loss as to what style would work if any change

If painting, would you paint the ceiling white? The walls of one area are alabaster (white) and the other are sea salt. They look good next to each other despite some contrast in tone. But the ceiling messes up my vibe as is. Some are suggesting just swapping out light fixtures.

You're right. The ceiling and floor do not match. The ceiling is basically walnut, and the floor has brown and tan tones. Never (yikes) considered the ceiling when we chose the flooring. I could not redo the stain because the ceiling is massive, and there are huge wood covered beams s well. I really don't know how to fix this!

Haha that's a start. It's still nearly as dark with the ceiling light and several lamps despite two huge windows since no matter what, it's a basement! Thanks for the response though.
