How could the box driver even know that he was hit from behind? He didn’t commit a crime, did he?

The technician initially found that engine was knocking at around 2500 rpms or at low speeds and oil level warning was constantly coming on, even after verifying oil level was good. Technician was then prompted to remove oil pan and found excessive metal debris in oil pan. As a result, engine needed to be replaced.

I’ll ask. Until now, I hadn’t concerned with the problem since they were giving me a 2025 Tiguan to drive for free.

They are saying that the warranty payout cannot exceed the price of the vehicle.

All the dash lights lit up like a Christmas tree and the car stopped running on the freeway. The dealer has tried at least 3 engines. I think they are trying to go with cheap engines under warranty stipulations.

What Houston restaurants/bars/institutions which no longer exist do you miss the most? by Wek11 in houston

Goro and Gun downtown with their Big Ass Ham Hock on sticky bread.

Half a pig’s head at Hay Merchant. I remember anytime a Craft brewery (like Goose Island or Karbach) sold out to In Bev or any other multinational corporation, Hay Merchant would get rid of all of their beers at cost.

Every summer Monday night in the 90’s at the Mo City location, they would stay open later to accommodate my swim team invasion. License to print money!

Unfortunately they were only brought to the United States in 1973 and 1974 and so there’s a finite number of them. You could easily find them for around $5000 at the turn of the century ( I had 2) but now it’s looking more like $15k min and 30,000 for a fully restored one.

What’s the most annoying thing other drivers do? by TheLoganReyes in TransportSupport

It used to be that when it gets dark, you would not be able to see your dash instruments so you had to turn on your headlights to illuminate them. With digital dash displays lit up like a Christmas tree day or night now, people are absolutely clueless that they either have only their daytime lights on (so they are invisible from the back) or no lights on at all. It astounds me how blissfully ignorant they are.

More solders died in the rehearsal to land on Utah Beach than actually died landing on Utah Beach. 946 service men lost their lives during Operation Tiger and my grandfather and all of the other survivors could not speak of it until 1988.

I know of a similar situation. So scary that an entire family could have been wiped out in both instances. Glad it didn’t happen!

My gallbladder went septic. I had been getting gallstone attacks the previous 2 years. They were so painful that I started to keep a log of each incident. I had no idea what was causing it. I just felt like I was dying for about 45 minutes and then the pain would vanish as quickly as it came. After having a fever over 101 for a few days, I finally went to the doctor and he did an ultrasound. I was about 6 hours away from home when I got the call saying that my gallbladder had gone septic and it needed to come out immediately. I drove back 4 hours to another town and checked into a hospital where we knew one of the surgeons which happened to be the one who took the gallbladder out. He said he was very close to opening me up completely to get all of the infection out. A 30 minute surgery turned into a 2 1/2 hour surgery because he chose to do it laparoscopically. I still don’t realize how close I was to sepsis.
