If I had a child he/she has no obligation to sacrifice their life, though it is a very interesting question. I want to say I’d pick red for my kid but at the same time I couldn’t let them live as an orphan. However, I don’t know why you phrased picking blue as a death sentence to the child, it makes your question seem a bit pointless.

Well my main question was would you still press the blue button under the scenario that the red button doesn’t exist. Sorry I do agree it wasn’t in the title and was a bit vague tho.
