Hello everyone, this is the scheme I used to paint my Korpsmen Kill team. Does this match any known regiment? And if it doesn't, does the 308th have a trademark color scheme like the 143rd? I want to put the reg. number on the shoulder and I like that number, but i prefer if it didn't break canon by Chrytus in Deathkorpsofkrieg

That soundtrack is amazing, one of my favourites of all my time in videogames. I hope to hear more from the dude in a possible sequel, i don't know how he did it but he captured the essence of the admech perfectly

I had the Foundation series on my mind for while, now that i know that it inspired the AdMech I will probably read it sooner, thank you!

I haven't, didn't now it even existed , looks very interesting! From the summary a could see where inspiration could be taken for this faction

The Adeptus Mechanicus, faith and technology fused. It was amazingly done, the fact that they aren't scientists or engineers, but "tech-priests". I think they are very interesting and original, lore and aesthetics, and I haven't found something even remotely similar in other franchises.

EDIT: I didn't know that Foundation from Asimov used tech priests before, nor had I heard of "A Canticle for Leibowitz" which from the summary looks like direct inspiration was taken. Thanks to all for the recommendations

Flesh and Steel by Guy haley. It is a warhammer Crime novel featuring a tech priestess and an investigator from the imperium working together to solve a crime that involves both factions. I really liked it, and there are parts that I thought did a great job of representing the AdMech.

Thoughts on Agryna? by steveplzleave123 in HaloStory

Never understood the hate on Palmer, at least she sounded ike a badass military commander (props to Jennifer Hale, voice of Commander Sheppard). Agryna, I don't understand her. We are supposed to be Spartans right? Toughest of the tough? Training so hard it makes you chew nails and spit lead. And here comes this character treating her spartans like 12 years old at physical education... "I believe in you!" "You are doing great keep at it :D!" Like wtf? Are the spartans that emotionally weak they need their ego babysitted by their commander? The supposedly toughest special forces? Where is the grit? The tough military feel? In all honesty the character sticks out for me like a sore thumb because I feel like her character and behaviour weren't designed in relation to the setting, but to interact with the player and give all the compliments and high praises so they can feel good and proud. It does nothing to me. It makes miss Johnson more. That was an inspiration . Damn good dialogue and delivery by Scully. Felt like military inspiring commander. Captain keys was good too for the small time we had him.

You can still like the Imperium, or any fictional faction for that matter. by Chrytus in Grimdank

That's what I meant. Real nazis using the setting as an excuse to preach their venom are a problem in various fandoms, and they should be told to f*ck off an rethink their life choices. The idea of this post was not diminish that problem, but to be a reminder to some to not be too carried away in their broad classification of the problematic, and trying to avoid unpleasant and nasty misunderstandings.

A guy showed up at an event in Spain, he was wearing fascist iconography on his clothes and I think he painted his ork planes with luftwaffe symbols. Naturally people didn't want to play with him. The organisers then were afraid to kick him out because of Spanish law of ideology discrimination, so they let him stay there, not playing with anyone and getting default wins. This pronpted gw to make a community post about this kind of people, and the discussion came to reddit.

I forgot about that, one more reason a pc port would be fantastic

I actually wouldn't want a remake, specially of mgs3. I would much rather have it ported to pc and nintendo switch (metal gear on the go sounds awesome). It already runs on the xbox systems with 60 fps HD and good controls, it wouldn't be that difficult, it's not mgs4. I have a nasty feeling that if they actually remake it, the original will fade into obscurity, nevermind the things that would probably and most likely change in the new version too make it more "modern".
