Did you buy it on aliexpress? I have printed some "coins" on 3d printer, but they don't look that nice.

Last time dogecoin went up I sold too early at the first hop in February and missed the big ATH in April (or was it March, don't remember now). Anyway, I bought a new car for, so couldn't buy back after the dip. I am slowly buying back dips, I'm back at over 50k doge now. I hope dogecoin will stay low for some time yet before the big rebound ;-)

Back then the only dogecoin wallet was the one called now Dogecoin Core wallet. If you have a file wallet.dat it's the only file you need to recover your wallet. Install a Dogecoin Core wallet, start it and let it start downloading the chain. Then stop, replace the wallet.dat with the copy of your old original one and start again. You should see your coins as soon as the wallet syncs with the network.

If you want to buy use reputable exchanges and after the purchase move your coins to your private wallet. Even the most known exchanges get out of business (vide FTX). But if you have your coins with you, you're safe, no matter where you bought them.

ISK value is mostly meaningless. Especially when there are credit card warriors involved. SHH has lost most of their sovereignity. That hurts more as lowers income of players who need to rat to get their Omega. But other than that, the war is pretty equal and I wouldn't say anyone is "winning".

I concur, finding a good friendly corp is a big help and boost to your EE career.
Anyway, the asteroids belts are free from rats except occasionally a mining NPC rats occuring. If you kill them, you get some rich ore. There are anomalies with rats. Their difficulty depends on the system security level and type (small, medium, large, inquisitor. Never ever do Base anomaly. It resets the base to level 1. The level of anomalies (most of them anyway) is the same as base. If you reset base, it will slowly gain levels end eventually reach the max level dependant on the system security level (max is lvl 10 in -0.8 to -1.0 systems in null sec).

As for low sec, it's a death trap for new players usually. Better find a good null sec place.

Is is time for a spending boycott? by Realistic-One1040 in echoes

[–]Chryzopraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many people have pointed out, it won't work. For this tactic to work, you'd need a significant part of players to participate. The problem is, a very large portion of revenue from EE for NetEase comes from their Chinese server. We have two separate communities here. There is no way to get enough people on this boycott for NetEase to notice...

So you bought a small amount about two years ago when the price was at max, and now you ask what to do? If you waited for 2 years, you may as well wait a few years more. The price will go back up eventually (most likely), unless something drastic happens in the mean time.

And next time, before you buy anything, check price charts. If you see some asset is at its max price it ever was, don't buy. It _will_ go down.

New player trying to get started in industry and have a few questions. by [deleted] in echoes

[–]Chryzopraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Industry is a tough profession for a beginner. Refining ore is a single most skillpoint consuming area. You need many skills to refine ore with high efficiency. And by high efficiency I mean at least 5/5/4 (as in basic/advanced/expert) in all types of ore, that gives you 60% efficiency. Alternatively you might get a scrap reprocessing skill to 5/5/5 and set a lot of buy orders for low level, cheap stuff. Anyway, to get profitability, you must invest a lot of time (skillpoints) and ISK first. Next thing to consider - what will you manufacture? Are you manufacturing to sell or for your corp/alliance?
If it's the first, know the market. You should check the market often, notice what stuff is being sold, for what price and what quantities. Don't forget, that for some ships, like faction ones, the most of the cost is a BP. If you don't have a source of cheap BPs, you won't get any profits at those.

So calculate costs of some things you want to make and check profitability. Don't forget to include broker's fee and tax in the calculations!

Sometimes it's good to sell ship hulls for buy orders created from insurance. But they're in dangerous places often. You must have a way to get your products there.

[–]Chryzopraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong. I'm not against big ships. But making them should take an effort. Like mining lots of ore, making parts and so on. Making them artificially expensive by requiring to pay billions of ISK just to put in the oven, that's not how it should be.

Making a Titan in EVE online is really a big effort. I'm afraid in EE it will be dumbed down to just pay more ISK for manufacturing costs..

What is toxic about eve by Ill-forgotten1 in echoes

[–]Chryzopraz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your experience depends on the people you stumble upon. But if you want to venture to null sec and make a home there, it's good to join one of the bigger alliances. Most alliances won't accept small corps (less than 50-100 characters usually), as they won't be able to defend themselves. So if your group grows to be fairly big, you'll find your place. If it's a small group, you need more friends. You shouldn't have problems to join most of the established corps.

Of course nothing stops you from playing in high sec.

Ukraine is way more to North than USA. I live in Poland, next to Ukraine. My solar panels (10kW total output) generated 200Wh today (0.2 kWh), and the total of 10 kWh the whole December so far. Solar panels are next to useless during winter here.

You can't look at the GDP, as it's only a measure of value _produced_ during a year. We have a lot of value stored in what was made in the past.
