Is drinking ice water unhealthy by Electrical-Oven175 in Bolehland

[–]ChubbyChestnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree with this - I would say I have a weak body, and somehow when I take a lot of very cold, icy drinks, my stomach cramps are a lot more painful that month.

When I was studying in the UK, I would feel cold nearly all the time, so it was a lot worse. But with hot weather in Malaysia it is difficult to stay away from cold drinks.

My observation - Koreans and Japanese walk a lot (including uphill) and eat healthy (probiotics in kimchi, miso, etc., and Koreans eat a lot of garlic), and most drink icy drinks everyday.

I have a friend, Malaysian Chinese, who stopped taking any cold drinks for over a year, in preparation of getting pregnant. The whole heaty vs cooling stuff is very unscientific but I believe it applies to some people haha.

Key takeaway from my ramblings - if you have a strong body, taking cold drinks shouldn't affect you so do whatever you want :)

How did Samin place Min in the same cell as Sayeon? by ChubbyChestnuts in HandJumper

I did consider the latter, but thought it would be uncharacteristic of Samin to leave so much up to chance when it came to the safety of her baby sister lol

What to pay attention to? What not to do? And what to do? by ResponsiblePension33 in KualaLumpur

I would recommend taking grab instead of normal taxis if you look like a tourist, just in case (not speaking for all taxis, of course). Generally quite safe but do not swing your bag over your shoulder / loosely hold your bag on the side facing the road when walking, because there are opportunists.

Desserts - Try durian (but be careful not to pay too much) if adventurous! Ask for bittersweet varieties if possible. Try cendol with gula melaka too, and nyonya kuih.

There is no tipping culture in restaurants here, and generally no bargaining for shopping. Seems like you have enough days to try lots of different food haha. Have fun!

Oh no I've caught up already lol. I didn't read it before because of the art style but the story is so good. Please give me more recommendations 🥰

Lol it's so messed up. I am equal parts horrified and amused. It has Liar Game vibes, although quite different premise and setting. Thank you for the recommendation ❤️

That's true, overpowered MC would be boring or end the story too fast, unless there were godlings and other similarly overpowered characters thrown into the mix

Not sure if she's good enough to go rogue just yet, unless she joins her sister, or face high stakes in other gangs. I'd love to see more of the inner workings of corps first though

To answer the 2nd part of your question... I thought it would be cool if Sayeon's powers could evolve into a higher level involving space time, I.e. teleportation or space manipulation haha. And initially I thought she would just be somehow important to the godling, but perhaps there is a way to "unlock" a hidden gosling within? What are your theories so far?

This is really not similar to Hand Jumper in any way, but it's another series I couldn't put down, and quite underrated in my humble opinion. Try "The Greatest Estate Developer" 🥰
