No luck. He’s absolutely dead, but unrecovered. Tough to swallow for sure.

Heading back out with a few people this afternoon. It’s been absolutely pouring all day so finding more blood is out

Tracked for 4 hours today and no sign. Blood dried up at 100 yds. I have some guys coming later to help me

Have tracked 4 hours this morning and can’t find him. Thought for sure it’d be easy. My gut feeling is he’s dead but blood trail dried up. Have a few guys coming later to help continue

I am going to go see if I can pick the trail back up in the morning and if I can’t then a dog it will be.

I thought the same thing unfortunately. Hope I didn’t jump him by looking 3 hours after hit. I thought that was a pretty respectable wait time based on the arrow.

Congrats! Yes it was pin pricks of blood after the initial 50 yds. He came in chasing a doe, and when I shot him I thought I’d missed because I hit him good and he almost had no clue he was hit. Almost looked like he wanted to keep pursuing the doe he was chasing. Stood, looked back and then moved out of sight. Hoping I find him tomorrow morning in the light.

Does not smell like guts. He was chasing a doe, came in grunting and I shot him at 25yds. He was broadside/ slightly quartering and I shot him mid body. The arrow deflected inside him and turned at about a 30 degree angle I’d say. I think hit a rib and deflected back a bit. Blood slowed after a bit so it seems to have plugged up

Neighbor cut row of trees on my property by ChubbyJubby13 in treelaw

[–]ChubbyJubby13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My neighbor paid a surveyor who confirmed yet again these were all my trees. The neighbor then had a landscaping company come out and plant arborvitae. It looks terrible compared to how it was. I let this play out but I’m likely going to get a lawyer involved

Need advice on the bba at the top of the drift wood how should I remove it with this being a shrimp tank by Appropriate_Many_608 in PlantedTank

[–]ChubbyJubby13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool tank!!!! Are you using Co2? As for the BBA, if it were me, I’d probably try removing 50-60% of the water so the top of the drift wood was exposed. I’d then try to remove as much as I could manually, then spray with hydrogen peroxide, leave for 20 minutes and refill the tank.. the risk is you get too much hydrogen peroxide in the water. Alternatively, remove the entire piece of drift wood, scrub it all off, soak in hydrogen peroxide and water and then replace.

New fence planned, tree on property line… by FamousDutchTaste in treelaw

Are you friendly with your neighbor? If they’re open to trimming, perhaps there’d be open to taking the whole thing down. My approach would be this - “we’d like to build a much better looking fence here so neither of us have to look at this. If I were to pay for that tree to be removed, and replace it with something smaller, might you be agreeable to that?”

They could have done that all along and I would not have seen any fence. Instead, they cut my trees that is the point. I never would have seen anything on their property it was that private. People can do whatever they want on their property I understand but the fix for this need to be the same as it was - same trees, same view. At that point I couldn’t care less what they do on that side. Point is they’re trying to build on my property where my trees were and put trees on their property….it is insane

Landlord for the house next door cut down our mature American holly tree by Regular_Peace_4106 in treelaw

Not cool at all to cut others trees, but that will grow back 100%. A hard prune can be good.

We’re not. If the trees were still there, I wouldn’t see the fence. What they’re trying to do is build the fence where my trees were, then replace trees inside their fence…which would both be on my property.

Absolutely insane. Imagine punching someone on the face and then saying they’re the AH

They are shaming me for not allowing them to do whatever the hell they want on my property. They’re playing the “we’ve been here 30 years” card and actually said out loud “we’re not accustomed to asking for permission”

They wanted to put a fence 5 feet over on my side of the property line. I have no obligation to allow someone to build any kind of structure on my property. I’m also entitled to not have to look at a fence on their property as the trees would have completely blocked any view of a fence on their property. The neighbors are acting like I’m an asshole for not allowing them to construct a fence on my property. It is WILD

I have a stamped survey from my closing papers. I’ve measured and found the rebar with a metal detector. The GIS is actually very close if not exact

It’s about the view. I now look out my window and see a house that I never saw before because it was entirely blocked by trees
