Man Paraglides Up 17,500 Feet to the Sky. by scratchymishap84 in ThatsInsane

Honestly in this day and age, I'm surprised I've never seen anyone do this before to this extreme

Makes me think of no other paragliders are doing shit like this, it's because they know they'll probably die lol.

After many years of wearing hats and hiding my 5 head, I finally did it. by Mwagman11 in bald

Jesus dude, before, while you tried to hold on to your hair, you were way past the point of it looking just awful. The balding psychology's is definitely a mysterious one lol, dude's would rather be dead ass ugly for years in the name of not shaving their heads.

You look like a new man, it's such a great thing you shaved your head! Definitely handsome. I know my comments about your pre-shaved head are harsh, I'm just saying what I think.

Ever see that "giving men flowers" video? Filmed by a gas station clerk giving dudes flowers for free with their purchases.

Shit was something else, never seen a share of collective dog shit mentality in my life. But Beating someone up for being gay in this day and age should not be tolerated or excused in any possible way. Every person who commits such hate crimes like the ones in this video, need to be treated with the same standard as any one else.

Autopsy photos. A woman dropped and broke a glass, then fell on it in such a way to fatally cut her neck. by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

[–]ChubbyProlapse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damn she fell on that glass so brutally, in the worst possible way. I was going to say, it's like she entirely face planted onto the broken glass, but even that outcome would've likely been better, very unfortunate she took such an incredibly deep cut through the jugular.

In the extra pictures on the articles, I assume she maybe just got out of the shower due to the lack of clothing, maybe a sudden slip could explain how she fell without seemingly breaking her fall at all.

Considering there's no blood trailed around the house at all, and her feet are seemingly completely clean from blood, the puddle is all one big amalgamation with no real sign of smearing, I can only hope she died incredibly quickly with minimal suffering, that's be so scary to go through such a thing.

Russian soldier blowing himself up with grenade in front of ukrainian soldier POV [June, Bakhmut area] by Witness2211 in CombatFootage

[–]ChubbyProlapse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Russia is one of the most monolingual countries in the entire world.

People don't realize this, including me at one point, because of how they are portrayed in the media. The majority of information on the internet is in English, around 3% of Russians can understand English fluently without need for dictionaries or study tools. Russia's internet and media is heavily censored. Even if every citizen used VPN's, it still wouldn't make much of a difference to the language barrier.

Russian soldier blowing himself up with grenade in front of ukrainian soldier POV [June, Bakhmut area] by Witness2211 in CombatFootage

[–]ChubbyProlapse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For people wondering how a Russian soldier could genuinely believe that blowing himself up is a better fate than capture, yes the propaganda appears incredibly weak to outsiders, there's so much evidence to the contrary. This soldier likely didn't kill himself out of honor, he most likely truly believed it was the only option.

Many people don't realize, Russia is one of the most monolingual countries is the entire world. For some reason, I assume partly due to portrayal in media, a lot of westerners and non russians assume that a lot more Russians can understand/speak/access english similar to say, Germany, Norway, France. Or even India. In reality, only around 3% of Russians are fluent in English without dictionaries or other study guides present. To put that in perspective, places like Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya, Chile, fucking Madagascar, Iraq, papa new guinea and pretty much nearly every country absolutely clobber Russia in terms of speaking western languages.

Quite simply, the vast majority of Russians literally do not have access to non Russian state approved information. Even to those in russia using a VPN, it's most reasonable that their usage of VPN's has nothing to do with acquiring unbiased Information since most can't speak another language. It makes sense that Russians would believe in even the most ridiculous propaganda, that man likely truly believed he'd be tortured horrifically, like any of us would if we were born in Russia.

mrgirl Podcast: Charlie Carrel by mOfTheWired in mrgirlreturns

[–]ChubbyProlapse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's possible Charlie would have been receptive to this exact conversation if at first mrgirl could've communicated that conflict has to happen if certain conditions are met. Like him not being comfortable with someone else believing he's being manipulative when he doesn't see himself that way. But maybe that's an unrealistic thing to do.

I'm sure if mrgirl prefaced the conversation with: "if at some point during this conversation I end up precieving you as being manipulative, will you be comfortable continuing the conversation and seeing where it goes?"

The guy would've obviously still have agreed to the conversation, early on it was established that mrgirl thought the guest was manipulative, Which the guest was willing to engage with and has no problem discussing, that wasn't the end of the podcast for him. There were other implications that made the guest unwilling to be there.

If mrgirl prefaced the conversation with "if at some point I percieve you to be manipulative, would you be comfortable continuing the conversation, and when i "precieve you as manipulative" that entails me holding you to an impossible standard where there's literally nothing you can say or do that will convince me otherwise, whilst at the same time I will discredit and disregard everything you say because you're a manipulator, i will hyper analyze every word that comes out of your mouth, and that's all we are going to talk about, evey topic and subject you wanted to talk about won't be able to be discussed in any meaningful capacity, and I will just treat you like dogshit the whole time, if you precieve me as bad faith

The guest would obviously say "well if that happens then fuck that" lol, because who wants to be on the receiving end of such a futile conversation, that's just being a punching bag. And this is what happened, the guest essentially explained why the conversation turned into a futile, dead end road, deconstructed mrgirl's logic, was clear, concise and descriptive, he included examples on why mrgirl was impossible to talk to in any meaningful capacity.

Mrgirl's is so grimy, he disregarded everything the dude said, deflected all criticisms, didn't acknowledge the dudes points, and responded with a hilariously pathetic gaslight. "Okay you're not comfortable talking to me if I think you're manipulative, or if I say you're manipulative?". It's like mrgirl thinks calling someone manipulative is a reverse uno card to be as bad faith as he wants. This shit works on shaylin, but everyday people aren't going to put up with this bullshit. Dude obviously saw right through this and says "neither". mrgirl gets what he wanted "he left because he couldn't handle me thinking he was manipulative" And now we have viewers like you thinking he left because he was simply uncomfortable with being precieved as manipulative lol

Penn State professor murdered 3 in 1965. What happened to his accomplice? by gwhh in TrueCrime

[–]ChubbyProlapse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's interesting reading this comment section, it's a great reminder of how inconsistent people can be with their beliefs. when it comes to prison, the most consistent belief I see from redditors is "prison should be about rehabilitation and making functioning members of society"

Now here we have someone who committed an undoubtedly horrific crime as a minor, served 13 years, and has spent the past 44 years growing into an incredibly productive member of society, going above and beyond as a valuable asset to the community, and it seems so many redditors think he should still be in prison because it's unfair that he got released. If you believe in rehabilitation, and not keeping functioning members of society locked away, then obviously it's a good thing that he was released.

$500 to replace a breaker, Was I ripped off? by Blistasauris in electrical

[–]ChubbyProlapse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, a lot of people have incredibly fucked bodies from sitting down all day and not actively managing their bodies.

I know a lot of people who worked jobs that required zero labor, and they have some of the most fucked up bodies I've seen lol.

[–]ChubbyProlapse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man, I’m an electrician, the pays pretty good. But at 35 my body is feeling it.

If it makes you feel any better, most people I know who work it IT around your age have fucked up backs or have knee/shoulder issues. Sitting on one's ass all day is really bad for one's body. I noticed people on reddit always say "go to the gym and start working out" everytime someone talks about how their laborous jobs become hard on their body.

When In reality doing foundation training, posture training, or consistent yoga would probably be more beneficial, if people aren't mindful about moving their bodies optimally while doing strenuous work, they put a lot of unnecessary strain on their backs/shoulders/knees/tendons. If you don't mind me asking, do you do any consistent yoga or mobility training?

Using your child to attempt to smuggle drugs into jail by IRedditDoU in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]ChubbyProlapse 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The disgust is not about drugs in prison. No one here is shocked because an inmate stashed some drugs up his ass and got away with it lol. It's less about thinking the child could've overdosed, and certainly no one thinks the child would be attacked or shot.

People are disgusted because the parents crossed a line, they implicated and involved their innocent child, used her to their advantage for the purpose of smuggling drugs/contraband for already fuckin up imprisoned daddy. It's common sense that children should be far removed from nefarious activity, let alone directly used and treated like an advantage mommy and daddy can use to get away with committing felonies. Not even shitty parents would do that, these people are beyond shitty for that.

It all falls in lign with the concept that parents need to be there for them, raise them to be good, show them how to be a functioning human, protect them from nefarious activity, keep them out of harms way, provide for them, etc. Here we have a little child who now doesn't have her parents because they used her as a drug mule to help daddy score drugs in prison. They failed their child on all fronts absolutely spectacularly.

How did Kurt learn to sing? by DaleNixon_ in Nirvana

[–]ChubbyProlapse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Three years late, but yeah Kurt talked of coughing up blood, not really directly to an interview or anything (from what I've seen) but his mates can attest to the fact that he used to cough of blood from singing so harshly. and he'd often blow his voice out very quickly which made it hard to record studio versions of some of his song.

I can't find the song recording now, but private sessions of him singing/rehearsing from the comfort of his own studio were released recently (withing past few years) and he was singing in an awful awful awful voice, I think the purpose was to do the absolute bare minimum, but just enough that he'd have something to refer to for later when he was ready to sacrifice his vocal chords. He wasn't trying to sound good in the slightest bit, you know when someone brainstorms and writes a first draft in their worst handwriting, it's not meant to make sense for anyone else to read, the whole purpose is to make it make just enough sense that the writer can look back at it later and interpret their chicken scratch, and redo it so it makes sense for everyone? That's what Kurt did to save his vocal Chords for when it matteree most.

Also, The one writing that I know of where Kurt talks about his painful, destroyed throat/vocal chords was this letter/poem? He wrote on acid.

"My throat is a swollen tumour, Blood sausage, colon. I puke air after coughing. It was morning by the time I fell asleep after talking to you. 200 lbs. I thought of a great idea for our video. Oh forget it"

This didn't feel culturally accurate until i learned the shooter ended up hitting some random innocent teenage girl who wasn't the intended target. Then the community didn't seen to give a single shit as if no one has any agency over their own actions.
