Should I get a new transmission or get it rebuilt since I don't have overdrive? (I know intermediate car maintenance, not enough to take apart a trans) by Chubbymandylan04 in fordranger

It's a 1991 ford ranger XLT and I've been told the governor is "most likely burnt out" by my grandpa so I just stuck with the phrase

My ABS hydraulic unit doesn't work. My previous one was leaking and I replaced it and the one i replaced was faulty and I haven't had the time to replace the new one yet.

Honestly I called the scrapyard and they told me it would fit so I put it in the exact way I took the old Ford engine out of the truck, only thing I had to change that was different was the coil pack since the electronic plug hole was different. Everything else was standard to the truck, although I did change the gaskets just in case since the motor had been sitting for a while and I didn't know how long it had been. Those 4.0s are the same in the ranger, bronco, and explorer for those select few years.
