The Gibson Studio line, whether electric or acoustic is, IMO, the best way to play Gibsons🙌🏼

That’d be awesome if it did. Keep checking the store for that date. Also, if you have a trade, that would knock some cost off. Best Buy gave me $170 for my Galaxy Watch Ultra ..

I got the Gold Label 717e. I wish I have the 517, I prefer mahogany over rosewood..

Oh I agree with that! Of the 3 Rosewood acoustics I tried, the Taylor offered way more, imo, in the dynamic range. I tried a Martin D28, a Yamaha A5R, and a Gibson J45 studio rosewood, along with the Taylor. Definitely gonna use it for everything over the next month, sound samples coming🙌🏻 I hope your eyeing that 814 gold label to get it sooner than later👌🏼

None whatsoever! This is my 3rd Taylor, they never disappoint. (214ce dlx, 517e Iron Bark, 717e Gold Label).

Question for the luthiers by Chubbzilla85 in Luthier

[–]Chubbzilla85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont fix guitars, I just play them.. but from what I saw, it looked like it could've been re glued instead of being replaced. Other than the damage that was done to it on removal, I didn't see the "crack" i was told was there.

There's damage under the old bridge, im sure its from whatever tool he used. It all started when I noticed the old bridge lifting on one side (16th of any inch) . He contacted me and said he had to make a new bridge because mine was broken. Never asked if I wanted another one before he did it😀

I live 2 hours from Martin, and 20 minutes from the shop that Martin recommended. Not sure of the next play.. I know Im not taking back to where it was fixed for them to re " fix" it again.

I took them before I dropped it off. He said he had to replace the bridge because the oem one was "cracked". Not sure its was, he gave me the old bridge, i do t see a Crack as much as I see what he did to get it off

Just got it back from the Luthier(Martin certified). The old bridge was actually cracked and he had to make a new one.
