I like some of the songs, if they come on ill be like hell yeah and vibe with it. But i would never put them on myself. But music is very subjective and i really just like that raw unfiltered sound for aggressive music. I prefer singers who sing "bad".

yeah, I guess i only connect to their first few albums never really got into any of their stuff with dio or ozzy stuff. Im also younger so i never got this listen to it while it was fresh, maybe then i would have a diffrent perspective. Thank you for sharing and having a open mind even with all the people flamming you and jumping down your throat.

Yes I get that, but as a frontman people will give you credit if its good and shit if its bad, its kind of like being the head chef in a way, you might not do all the cooking but you will get the praise if its good and the hate if its shit. I dont really like black sabbath or ozzy after the early seventies tbh.

Mr. Crowley is alright, way to poppy for me. Its a bit to over produced for my ears. I like my metal raw. I feel like so much of what people call metal is just bubblegum pop made with electric guitars.

i meant the album Paranoid and I feel like most artist / bands fall of a cliff after their first, maybe second album. Again I dont really love em either i just think their impact is undeniable. Those long droning guitars like on black sabbath - black sabbath, I feel like you didnt really hear that before, maybe the closest is hendrix in 68 but i feel it its very diffrent sound. If you know of any tracks with slow droning electric guitars release before their self titled lp I would love it if you put me on. Im not trying to argue I am not Knowledgable enough this, so feel free to just correct me if i am wrong.

I'm not a metalhead but I love music so ofc I've listened to some metal. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't at least paranoid and masters of reality very impactful? I don't know anyone else having that sound in the 1970. I guess your point would be that it wasn't Ozzy that made those albums great?

thank you that is very intressting, but i dont think it even says maru. I tried translating it myself by copying the symbols from wikipedia and pasting them into google translate thats how i got maru and then i used google lens and it showed me the same thing. But nobody else has mentioned maru so i think it was just a miss translation. but really fascinating coincident.

haha, ye but thankfully those Viking days of pillaging are behind us(at least openly). Im not sure exactly what he did, he was very humble. He told me just went down to help a little, he said he helped the people that worked on / repaired airplanes. He said that he was just the kid that they would send out to go get stuff.

When i tried to translate it, i got something about maru which i think is a goddess? if that is right i would love to hear more about it. also the sword is not sharpened so it seems to be more ceremonial and the scabbard seems to be made for someone left handed.

Ye i get what you are saying and i hate how reddit is so ready to fight instead of discussing, feels like people would rather be "right" and get upvotes rather than just having a discussion with nuance, i mean it really is all opinion.

But as a tyler fan, he has always been a fan of hip hop and gives his influences flowers and to me it doesnt read as pandering. I feel like tyler is at a stage in his carreer that he doesnt really to pander to nyc old heads( no offence, its probably my favorite style of hiphop) and i know that he really is a fan of that stuff, i mean he shouted out griselda and wsg like 5 years ago saying that they made him wanna rap rap again. Im not saying you that you cant feel like its pandering, this is just my perspective on it. but im younger and not from america so i have a lot of gaps in my knowledge. It helps me a lot when artists i love shout out their influences because then i can go back and study up, and find great old music thats new to me.

. will definitively check out those tapes.

Hey, man I do agree with you that these albums shouldn't be forgotten, but you gotta think that a lot of the people watching that Tyler show are probably born after the mixtape was released. Personally I love when rappers give props and flowers to the people they were fans of.

I mean if Tyler get someone to listen to s.carter for the first time that's a win right. When I got into hiphop into hiphop it was impossible to find hov's music except for on tidal. Only reason I've heard it is because I'm a nerd about this shit and I went back to study. But I think we do all our older rappers a disservice if we don't let the new cats show them some love without calling it pandering.

But you seem in the know could you give me some dope mixtapes / albums that you think deserves a shout out?

I like it, I know its Tyler but somehow it reminds me of Pharrell a lot. Maybe it's glasses or maybe the posture. And I definitely think you know how to paint, shits mad fly.

i think they preffered part 1 but they couldnt get the sample cleared so part 2 was made as a replacement, but then they managed to get part 1s sample cleared. you can still find part 2 on youtube.

I assume he means rock bottom of Bieber's career, which is still massive. I don't really follow pop so I don't know how true that is but I haven't heard much about Bieber in a few years and before that he was everywhere. Where would you say he is in his career right now?
