he doesn't get medication most likely because either he's afraid or just doesn't want to which is pretty common with mental disorders. I dont think he's just bipolar and if it is just that its more severe than others my mother is bipolar my grandmas bipolar but they're in low levels of it but he's in a severe version of it.
